Blah,blah,blah.

Today totally felt like a Monday to me. Maybe, it was because it was the first time I've worked this week. And my work week only consists of 2 days this week. I know. I know. Rough life.

Anyways, not much around here. Sean had a frustrating day so I'm sure that means he's playing even harder tonight at basketball which could easily mean he gets hurt. (Wednesday should be the official "Sean gets hurt day" day.) I must say though, he hasn't come home hurt in a while. I just like to tease the poor boy.

He picks on me enough, trust me!

I worked the nursery at church this evening and while I love playing with the little kids, I just wasn't feeling it today. I actually kinda forgot that I was supposed to do it and already had a to-do list in my head for after work. And being the planner that I am, I had my plan in place and had to rearrange. Good thing I can just go with the flow! When I got home tonight, I got some of it done, but not enough. Tomorrow tonight Sean, myself, mom Rodger and I don't know who else, are heading to FHSU to do some astronomy thing at 8:30. So I won't have a lot of time to do things either. But it should be a fun evening.

Oh, and I got curtains for the nursery. I went with a white crinkly sheer for the room. I love it!! I'll wait to post pics until I have more done in the nursery.

Alrighty, well I'm off to bed. It'll be a busy day tomorrow. Peace.

Progress is my new favorite word!

Well today has been an emotional day. I'm way too hormonal and way too sensitive for occasions like that. It was a nice service, though. The toughest part for me was seeing other family members crying. That did me in instantly! The burial part of it was nice as well. It was the first time, that I remember, that had military there doing their thing. We didn't get back until about 3ish after the supper. There was *TONS* of delicious food. I could have gone back for seconds, thirds, fourths... you get my drift. I also got to meet some of Sean's family members that I haven't met before as well. So that was nice. And I got lot of belly touches as well. It really doesn't bother me having random people touching my belly for some reason. It did at the beginning, but now that I'm enjoying pregnancy, I'm ok with it.

After we got back home, guess what I did...

Yup, a nap! And it was heavenly. I had a huge headache from crying and trying not to cry, so some sleep did me good! Then when I got up Sean offered to help get things done around the house (can you say OMG!!).That doesn't happen often so I snatched him up in a heartbeat!

So in pictures, this is what we got accomplished!!!! (I'm SO excited, too!)

This is what our "new" room looked like prior to doing Sean's closets. (I still can't believe we finally moved his clothes up here.) Oh, and for the record. Sean has WAY more clothes than I do!

Our closets afterwards.
Mine:

His: (Most of his stuff is in the built in dresser.)
Pictures that finally got hung.

The $4 DIY picture hanging.

The shelves up and painted. (The star will be staying, but the sign will be above the window.)

The bow board hung and you can also see the lamp shade that got spruced up with some beads.(The picture frame isn't staying. I thought I was going to put it there but I don't like it there. I need to find a new spot for it!)

Her flower hooks hung. (Sorry for the shadow).

And all her clothes so far in the closet.

So we got a lot accomplished in a short amount of time! Which is great! I'm so glad my wonderful prince charming of a husband finally moved his clothes upstairs. Now the nursery is somewhat of a mix of ours and hers.

A few things down, a hundred more things to do (or so it feels)!

Tomorrow night I'm hoping to get her closet cleaned up and organized a little better. Some of our stuff is still shoved in there. We also decided not to sell my oh-so-comfortable bed. We are going to store it at mom and dad Rodger's until we move. So sometime this week it is going to get wrapped up in plastic. Then I just need to clean the floors and move Reesie's box upstairs. Yay for progress!

Oh, and we have a stank under the back porch. We think something died, but we are having trouble getting under there. But it's a HORRID smell. If there is anyone that likes to crawl under dark spaces and play with gross dead animals, then proceed over to the Rodger casa stat!

Oh, and I want to get some vinyl writing for the wall. Any suggestions for a baby girl? Nothing to girly or her name. Thanks!

15 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let your spouse put an ear to your belly -- he might be able to pick up baby's heartbeat (no stethoscope required). Inside the womb, the formation of tiny capillaries is giving baby a healthy pink glow. Baby's also soaking up your antibodies, getting the immune system ready for life outside the womb. Eyes are forming, and baby will soon perfect the blink -- perfect for batting those freshly grown lashes.

And here's a little chart I put together that shows my growing belly! I remember feeling huge at 16 weeks. I can tell the biggest difference between the 20 week and 24 week!

Only 15 more weeks... 15 weeks. Yes. 15 weeks. That number freaks me out. If I say I'm 6 months then it doesn't really bother me but saying I have 15 weeks freaks me out for some reason. If you want another number that freaks me out... 105. That's how many DAYS I have left until her due date. AHH. I'm excited but we sure have a TON to do. (In my mind anyways).

Here's a picture of the bow board I made for her room.

I just finished her 3 frame wall hanging today so I'll post that whenever I get a picture of it. It's super cute! I also got some baby clothes from my nieces so I'm washing those now and gonna hang them up tonight while I watch my favorite shows! I had the day off today so I got a lot accomplished given I was sidetracked and got to watch my 2 favorite girls for a while! Oh how I heart them! I put Abi to work folding clothes and getting under my bed to get everything out from underneath (Don't worry, I'm not a bad aunt. She wanted and likes doing those things. She even wanted to do more. Honest!) I got some more things moved upstairs today as well. The bedside tables are up and organized. All that is left is Sean's stuff. And well, with that boy, who knows when it'll be up there. Our room looks so bare, but before long it should be completely girly (much to daddy's dismay).

We had an awesome time at the wedding this weekend. I'm still worn out however. I took pictures from about 8 in the morning until like 11 at night. It was a long day but lots of fun! Of course, I didn't get a picture of Sean and I with the bride and groom (I always forget!) but got plenty of other good shots. Then I had a photo session the next morning with a 10-month-old baby. So yes, I'm exhausted. But it was fun!

Here's a few pictures from the wedding.

My face is beginning to look a tad similar to a chipmunks so this isn't the greatest picture of us.

My feet hurt so I took off my shoes and this is the end results

Short and Sweet

This wonderful post is going to be exactly that.

Sean and I had a wonderful, busy weekend but unfortunately received some bad news. Sean's Uncle Earlin passed away this weekend from a tractor accident that happened Friday afternoon. We ask you pray for the family along with Sean's cousin (Earlin's granddaughter) who happened to be there at the time and stayed with him until EMS could arrive. I couldn't imagine being in her situation and going through all the emotions that comes with it.

Earlin is Sean's grandpa's twin brother and they just recently celebrated their 80th birthday. The funeral is on Tuesday.

I'll blog tomorrow with more , but that's all I can muster for the evening. I'm beyond EXHAUSTED!

Baby Update

Well, my appointment went really well today. I *love* going so that I can hear her and today we also got to hear her move. She's quite active and it took the nurse a little bit to get her to stay put so she could get her heartbeat. It was 136, again. It's funny, because that is what is has been the last couple times! She's measuring good and doing well! :) We are scheduled for may 21st for our next appt and also the other sono! I can't wait to see her again! I also have to do the dreaded glucose test. Um, can you say yuck. Since I don't drink anything but water, this orange sweet drink is going to be nasty!

At my office, I have the girls guess how much I've gained the the past month! Well today I asked JCP and Matt, which JCP said 10 lbs and Matt said 15. I think Matt was slightly kidding! Anyways, I gained... 5.5lbs! Not to shabby for all the food I've been eating. But even if I just gain 5 lbs a month here on out, I will have gained 31 lbs by the time I'm done. Yikes. That's a lot to me, even though its in the range that the doctors want. Maybe I shouldn't eat so many ice cream sandwiches or Mexican food, ya think?

Well I just woke up from a nap and should probably get to doing some things since I won't have time this weekend! Hope you had a great Thursday!

April 22, 2009

Happy Earth Day!

Hope you did something "earthy" today! I can't say I did something specific but i tried to keep lights off and I opened the windows/doors instead of A/C (it was stink'n hot today!). Nothing big. I wish I could have planted a tree or something, but that didn't and mostly likely wouldn't have happened!

Sorry it's another picture less post. Even though I have pictures to post that are on a camera about 2 inches away from me. For some reason I don't have the energy to plug it in, turn it on, and download some pics. Lazy I know, but I have a good reason...

I've been a nesting fool and I'm starting to run out of steam! Since Sunday, I've been a-going, and a-going around the house. The basement is organized and waiting for a deep freeze and washer and dryer to come visit. Permanently. I'm completely moved up stairs but Sean is waiting until last minute of course. I offered, but he wasn't to do it himself. So be it.

Our garage sale stuff is priced and we are taking it over to my BIL's and SIL's tomorrow.

My craft room is starting to look more organized since I moved the baby stuff into our new room now that I got that slightly organized. All that is left in our new room is to clean the carpets, move Sean's stuff up, put in the window A/C (remember our house is almost 100 years old!), get new bedding, a few decor items and then Sean's things. I'm hoping by next Thursday we'll be up there. And that means...

I can start organizing Baby Jay's room! I've been painting some shelves we are putting in there and also a 3 frame picture frame to hang on the wall. I'm sooo ready to start on her room. And once we get our stuff out of there, we can order our crib since we'll finally have a place to put it!

Oh, and I dropped a computer monitor on my foot in the process of organizing. I don't cuss a lot, but a few choice words (ok a lot) came out whenever that happened. I have a nice bruise on my foot. So yes, I'm running out of steam. But it's been SO worth it!!

Tomorrow is our OB appt! Anyone want to make a prediction about how much I've gained? I'm going to guess 6 lbs. But I'm hoping for more like 4 (hoping with my fingers AND toes crossed)!

Well I'm covered in paint, its storming, Reese is freaking out, and I need a shower! So have a great night!!

Oh, and I did some shopping for an outfit for me for a wedding this weekend and I *might* have bought the baby a thing or two. Having a girl is going to break me! :)

Ok, lights are flickering. I'm out for real. Peace.

Short & Sweet

This post is specifically for Miss Tara.

Dear you,

I did it all... plus some.

Except for the spreadsheet.

Go me.

Progress

It's a wonderful thing!

Well kids... we have shelves and a pantry set up. We even have boxes on the shelves and the pantry slightly stocked. Sean and I put together the shelves yesterday. I was nice enough to volunteer to help. Probably the dumbest thing I did all weekend! :) J/k, it was nice to be outside and work with Sean. It took probably 2 1/2 hours to get the shelves together, moved downstairs, and aligned. It looks soo good but I was WAY exhausted afterwards!

Progress my friends!

Tonight I managed to put what was in the basement on the shelves in a nice, organized state. Then I brought down majority of the boxes that were in the closets upstairs in our soon-to-be new room. Then I got them up on the shelves and labeled everything.

More progress.

Now I'm arranging a garage sale pile for this weekend. Come to Victoria if any of you are garage sale people. It's the Victoria City Wide. Be there!

And for more progress...

I've made it to V-day! 24 weeks down, ONLY 16 to go. Not going to lie to ya. It freaks me out. That's not a lot of time and I feel like I have a TON still to do that needs crammed into an already busy schedule! It's ok though, it'll get done eventually! Right?!?! Sure.

In exciting baby news, you can now see my belly move whenever she kicks! I'm becoming obsessed with watching my belly whenever she's moving around. I noticed it for the first time Saturday and then tonight Sean got to see it and feel her move a bunch of times. Also, Tara from work got to feel it today as well.

Well that's it kids. I have more to blog about, but I'm going to go back to work for a bit. More organizing!!! :)

Peace.

April 19, 2009

Good Morning!

I thought I'd post before heading to church! I'm in the nursery today and shhh... don't tell, but it's probably my favorite part of church! I love all the little kiddos. Except today my adorable niece won't be there. But there are plenty of other cute little babes to hang with!

Dinner last night with our friends went awesome! The only negative is she is way more ready for her baby than I am... and we are due the SAME day. She has the nursery completely done. I have all my stuff sitting up in my craft room just "hanging out". She gave me some motivation to get more done, but I have to wait on Sean for most of that! Anyways, she and I were roommates about 3 years ago. We are both doing cloth diapers (yay for that!) and spent about 2 hours last night researching the Internet for information while the guys were in the garage smoking a cigar. Gross. I could hardly stand the smell! And I prohibited him from getting into bed with a shower! All in all, we had a great time! I wish I would have brought my camera to compare bellies (she soo cute) but of course, I forgot! Thanks Clay and Alicia for dinner! We had a great time!

Well we have lots happening around the Rodger house today. I hope.

Sean is headed this morning to his parents to pick up selves for the basement. Then hopefully we'll put the pantry up and start organizing the shelves. I can't believe I'm that excited to organize shelves. I'm always hoping to make my bow board today as well!! :) Then I'm going to cut up some fabric for bibs and burp rags.

I'm so cool!

April 18, 2009

Aren't you a lucky duck?

Because if you stalk my blog, you'll realize you just got 2 posts in one day. Except this post if for me to brag!

I've been wanting a 3 column format FOREVER. Well since I've started blogging, of course.

But I couldn't find out how to do it. Well ta-da, it's been done! I love it!!! And it was pretty easy. My mom could even do it! So it has to be easy!

No offense towards my mother of course! Love you!

Here's the link if you want to do it!

http://www.threecolumnblogger.com/2008/09/three-column-minima-layout-version.html

Anyways, continue on your merry way!

Heavenly...

bodies is the place to be!!! I got back from my massage and well, I feel heavenly! (Ok that was lame, I know).

My pedicure was perfect and I have some cute little toes!! I offered Sean the chance to paint my toes but he wasn't game. The only bad part of my pedicure and massage was I forgot to shave my legs (I'm blaming it on pregnancy brain) and so I felt self-conscious of it the whole time. My leg hairs were not bad, they actually could have, and have been, a lot worse. Oops!

Now I'm getting down to some busy work before supper tonight! I made a fresh southwest salsa for dinner and I'm going to make some homemade chips. Not the healthiest chips, but they are so stink'n good!!!

Here's the recipe in case you are in the mood for something fresh and healthy (minus the chips):

2 tomatoes (seeded and diced)
1 avocado (diced)
handful of fresh cilantro
1 can of black beans (drained) - I only used half a can, just depends how much you like beans
half a bag of frozen corn (thawed)
half a red onion (diced)

Mix together and there ya go! You can also had some lime juice, but we didn't have any on hand. If you want homemade chips, take a flour tortilla and cut into triangles. Heat some oil in a frying pan, toss in the triangles a few at a time, flip over after a few seconds (depends how hot the oil is) and then drain on some paper towels! Super easy!

Well I'm off to tackle my to-do list! I'm hoping to get my computer all organized. Files organized, picture CD's made, trash deleted. You get my drifted! I will feel so satisfied whenever this is done! I LOVE being organized!! UPDATE: Ta da! It's done!! :)

Oh, and a few pictures. I order a book off of Amazon that a lot of mom have been raving over. So of course I had to join the rage! Then 2 onsies we got at good ol' Walmart. See if you can guess which one Sean picked. I also got the canvas for the bow board and hope to do that tomorrow! Then Miss Reese in her Easter dress. I think she loved it, what about you? Ha ha!

Have a great Saturday!

April 17, 2009

Gotta love the weekends...

It's Friday at noon and I have til 3:30 until it's the weekend! I am very very ready for it. It's been a crazy week at work, super crazy! I think at least 1/2 of our office has overtime and so we are all ready to get outta here for a day or two!

Here's my GP (game plan) for the weekend:

1. Haircut today at 4!
2. Pedicure and massage tomorrow morning (can you say HEAVEN?)!
3. Dinner with friends tomorrow night.
4. Work the nursery at church on Sunday.
5. Make a bow board for the nursery.
6. Put up shelves in the basement and start organizing it. (hopefully, this depends on Sean)
7. Organize files on the computer.
8. Burn picture CD's.
9. Deliver 2 picture orders.
10. Cut out some fabric to sew.
11. Drop off my sewing machine for surgery.
12. Blog my Easter pictures.
13. Take a belly picture.

Oh, and I need some help.

My mom and I are going to freeze some meals before the baby comes so we have food to eat if we aren't in the mood or to busy to actually cook something. So if you have ideas let me know. (Aubrey, I'm expecting some from you b/c I know you like to cook!) I have some ideas but would like some more. I think we are going to try and make 2 weeks worth of food. So I need about 14 different things! If you have never commented before, this would be an awesome time to comment, hint hint!! Thank ya!!

Well I'm off, back to work.

April 16, 2009

Yum.

I love it when Sean cooks...which he happens to be doing now! Cheeseburgers, tator tots and some veggies!! YUM. After the HUGE lunch I had, I really shouldn't be eating this, but oh well! My friend Tara and I went to Taco Shop for lunch. I got a sanchez, taco, and cheese enchilada. I then went BACK and order another sanchez and taco. Yes, I'm a pig. And yes, my baby might look like a Mexican whenever she is born. Or she might look like Quizno's. Who knows.

Seany boy and I went on a walk tonight with Miss Reese and so I'm exhausted! And worked was busy as usual! But I get off early tomorrow and then get my hair cut! And on Saturday I have a pedicure scheduled AND a massage. I deserve it and NEED/WANT it! I can't wait! Oh, then it's dinner with some friends!!

And a quick favor to ask. If you would, say a prayer for my friend Becca and her family. Her mom just found out she has Leukemia and they could use some prayers!!

April 15, 2009

No news is good news right?

Well, I got no news! Nothing exciting is happening around our house. But I will fill you in on the excitement because I know you're dying to know!

Let's see. I went to bed early on Monday and missed The Hills. But don't worry, I DVR'd it, even though after watching, I wasn't impressed. I'm not a Heidi and Spencer fan.

Last night, I managed to work on some computer stuff while Sean finished painting the basement floor! It's finally done! Now we just have the shelving to put up, the bookcase/pantry thing, the W/D and to organize. I'm starting to feel like we've made some headway with the whole thing! I just can't wait for it to be finished because then we can start moving bedrooms and I can start Miss Baby Jay's room!! I'm starting to run out of room in my craft room for all her things!

Today I worked my booty off at work and I'm exhausted!!! So I'm taking it easy tonight! Real easy. I'm thinking I might cut out some fabric and pin them together to sew for whenever my computer is fixed. Man, I'm full of fun!

Sean went to basketball tonight. Anyone want to place a bet on what body part he hurts this time? Thank goodness for that accident policy I took out on him!

Oh and my back hurts, my legs are numb, and my sciatica is starting to hurt when I get up. Pregnancy rocks! :)

So yes folks, it's been really exciting around here. Real exciting!

April 13, 2009

23 weeks

1 more week until V-day. Nope, not valentine's day, but instead viability day. If she were to come way to early (which I sure hope she doesn't) she'd have a chance to make it at 24 weeks. This was my next milestone I've been waiting for after the 13 week one. She's been a moving and grooving in my tummy lately and loves naps around 12-3. My kinda girl! :) She's super active around 10 in the morning then around 5 and for sure at like 8. This evening Sean got to feel her moving around a little bit and not just a kick here and there! I love it! :)

Nothing else to exciting around here. I have some mucho back pain today so I'm taking it easy tonight and watching The Hills! :) I was going to upload the pics from Easter but I'm not in the mood to go upstairs and do so! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter, we sure did!!! Lots of great food, family time, and great memories. We are both so lucky to have such great families!!

Have a great night!!

Oh, shout out to my dad! Happy Birthday!!! We love you!

Big decisions...

Having a baby is a big decision for some people. For me, it was quite easy. Sean and I waited about a year before we started trying. If it was left up to be, I would have been knocked up on my honeymoon. Things happen for a reason. I'm actually glad we (or actually Sean) decided to wait a while. We got to do SO many things our first year married. We bought our KU season tickets, bought our boat and went the lake numerous times, took a trip out to South Carolina, etc. If I would have been sick like I was with this pregnancy, half of those things wouldn't have happened. I'm thankful for the amount of sickness I had because it could have been 20 times worse. But for me, it knocked me out! I'm thankful for Sean for being such a great husband and being able to pick up our life when all I wanted to do was put ice on my head and hide under a blanket and sleep, sleep, sleep. Not everyone has the opportunity to do that. I have a "friend" in the blog-mosphere that is so entirely sick she hasn't kept anything done in days and has been hospitalized twice. I physically couldn't have done that. Nope. No way. Would I have done it? Of course, no doubt about it. But it would have also been our only child!!! The thing with my sickness was how long it lasted. Pretty much from when I found out til about 17ish weeks. I'm so grateful I'm finally back to myself.

Anyways, like I said the big decision for me to have a child wasn't just that, but instead, finding a diaper bag. Lame, I know. But for the life of me, I can't find one that I *love*. We registered for this one. I like it, but I don't love it. It kinda screams diaper bag and I don't like that. I'm looking for more of a purse/diaper bag. I want it to be chic, stylish, and sophisticated. Yes, my diaper bag must be sophisticated. Oh, and big. I like big bags. If Sean could choose it would have Jayhawks all over it. Everything else I love like Kate Spade and Coach cost mega dollars. But they cover all of my criteria.

Now I *love* this one. But not the price tag that comes with it. Um, say like $400.

I just can't decide. Wal-mart and Target just don't have many, if any options I like. Target does carry the JJ Cole line so we did register for the one. But if you know me, I can't have just one. I'm a purse fanatic. And most of the time, I'm an expensive purse fanatic. When Sean is in South Carolina in June I'm hoping he'll stop at the Coach outlet and pick me up a little present. But if you know my husband, that'll be a big no. I'm not sure I can even see him going into a coach store and looking around.

So if anyone wants to buy me one, go for it. I'd probably love you forever and would get down on my knees in gratitude! If you're not a purse girl, then your probably thinking I'm completely retarded for worrying about this. But if you *love* purses like I do, then I'm sure you understand my dilemma.

Oh, and for the record Sean wanted me to point out something. That pink sign I posted like 3 posts ago was a find Sean found and picked out. He wanted some credit here on the blog. Thank you Sean.

He also surprised me the other day and got a little outfit for Miss Baby Jay. He wanted credit for that as well! :) And notice very, very little pink! :)
So if you have any ideas for diaper bags please send them my way. Just remember the criteria. Thanks and have a great day. It's been a pleasure.

April 10, 2009

Pop it like its hot...

Yup. It popped.

The belly button has popped and the turkey is done. Except I'm not quite ready for lil missy to make her entrance for about another 17 weeks. I was hoping to make it to at least 24 weeks before any popage but that isn't going to happen. It's not a huge pop, but there is no longer an indention.

Great.

Let's see. Tonight was a big night. It was the season finale of Friday Night Lights. I'm so sad it's over and I can't believe it was ended like that. There were WAY to many questions left unanswered. And now I have to wait like 4 months until it starts again.

I pretty much cried through the whole thing. Here's MY recap. Oh, and if you haven't watched the show you can either read or skip down a few paragraphs.

Matt Saracen is the sweetest, most sincere person to be on TV. I love him and Julie together and it's so cute to see him take care of his grandma. I'm so glad in the end he ended up taking her home instead of leaving her at the nursing home. So... if he takes her home, then he's not going to Chicago for school. Right? I'm hoping because he and Julie CAN NOT, and I repeat, can not break up. They have to much of that cuteness factor going on for them.

I'm happy Lyla has decided to go to Vanderbilt after all. This means I can swoop in and heal Riggin's broken heart. Ok, but really. I don't want them to break up either, but I don't see them doing the long distance thing. And I'm glad he's going to go on to San Antonio State and not work with his brother. Billy is dumb. Not a fan. And his new bride looked ghetto with her butterfly looking wedding dress. The stink'n dress had wings on the back. Really?

Tyra... I am so happy for her for getting into UT. For everything this girl has been through, she needed that. And I'm happy she has Landry by her side. They are an odd but cute couple and I love Landry. He's witty. He may say some stupid stuff at times, but he really cares for Tyra and I love that. But his music kinda stinks. Just my opinion.

Coach Taylor - I feel so bad for him for not getting his job back. He made Dillion what it is. Joe McCoy is a evil, back-stabbing man. I'm not a fan of his, btw. Nor of his sons. But that's not the point. I think he's going to take the job at East Dillion. And then I think he's going to have this awesome team, whoop up on Dillion, and win State. He is that great.

I'm so excited for the next season, you have no idea. I'm ready to find out what happens. This is one show I could watch daily, 365 days a year. It's that good. And yes, I know these are all fictional characters and that I'm talking about them like I know them, but again, I LOVE THIS SHOW. I could so be friends with every single one of them. Especially Riggins. Yes. Riggins. MMMmmm. Hotness.

So I think in the end I cried about 4 times including a big bawling session. I'm cool. I know. Oh, then I took a shower and thought about it some more and decided to cry again. Pregnancy hormones are great.

Oh, the pregnancy thing. Ever heard of pregnancy brain? Well, I have it kids. It's totally real. I can't remember things I did 15 minutes ago, let alone where I put something. I went to buy my Dad a birthday present and looked in my purse to get my wallet. Gone. I had no stinkn' idea where it was. I could remember getting gas Wednesday but couldn't remember for the life of me where I put it. Sean ended up finding it in the back of my Durango. I must of put it down when I had to lift that overly obese dog of ours in to the back. I've also misplaced my debit card and had to go and cancel that and get a new one.

Again, I'm so cool.

Oh, back to FNL. Season three comes out on DVD May 19th. Anyone that wants to get Sean (and a bonus for me) a birthday gift, he (and I) would LOVE THIS! :)

America's next top model...

is not going to be Miss Reese.

I got my new KU bow in the mail and of course, needed to try it out on her, like everything else I get. She was way uncooperative, but super cute! :) Not a great picture, but you get the idea. It was definitely not worth the 12 dollars. I can easily make this, but can't find the jayhawk emblem thing anywhere. This baby is going to have a ton of KU bows.

Here's a few more things for Miss Baby Jay.

I'm in love with these socks. I first saw them on Jessica Alba's baby and knew I *had* to have them if I had a girl. So after our little surprise, I went and bought them in our gift shop in the hospital. I was so stoked when I found out they were there! I think I have every girl pair available. Besides these 3, I have 2 more. One looks like a ballerina shoe and the other is in a green just like these 2.

More material I got. This is flannel for the the bibs, burp rags, cloth wipes, and whatever else. I *heart* the apples! So cute!

More diapers!!! I got 3 blueberry covers and the red Happy Heiny (or something like that) pocket diaper. Plus some snappi's. I love the chocolate and pink dots! And the cow print... stinkn' adorable! I bet my baby's butt is going to be cuter than yours. ;)

Here's a little bad news...
Gauge, Sean's dog, tore his ACL or MCL 2 days ago. He got out and decided to go on a little run around Victoria. He came back and the next day we noticed he wasn't putting any pressure on his back leg. So Sean took him to the vet and he blew out his knee.

Here's the options.

A $2500 surgery, a $1000 surgery OR making him rest and letting it heal on it's own. He'll probably get arthritis soon and will walk with a limp but that's the path we are going to take.

Oh, and he's obese. Really obese in the dog world. So she said that makes the injury worse and he isn't a good candidate for the surgery unless he loses like 20 lbs really quick. The vet didn't recommend the surgery since he's an outdoor dog and not a dog we can keep laid up for a long time. He loves to run and we wouldn't be able to hold him back. So he's confined to his pen for the next 12 weeks and then slowly after that he can start to get out here and there. She's said it would take about 6 months to heal, maybe more b/c of his obesity! Sean's pretty bummed, which is understandable. I'd be too.

Eggs, Eggs, Eggs, Oh My!

First off, I *heart* being Aunt Andrea. I can never get enough of my girls. I got to watch them for a bit yesterday and today we dyed Easter eggs for this Sunday! Abi had a great time but probably enjoyed posing for the camera more than the actually egg process (as you can see below). Avery did so good and enjoyed dropping the eggs in the bowls. And yes, actually dropping. We had a few casualties in the process but overall, the eggs turned out good! Here's a picture recap from today!
My Favorite girls!

Being a ham... she loves the camera. She could, possibly, take after her aunt in this area.

And again, she loves posing!

My mom (Mama Burkey to the girls) bought Abi and Avery some little aprons so I put them on to dye the Easter eggs! They looked so cute!!

And then some pictures of the things we got this weekend for Miss Baby Jay. We went and registered this weekend and I took Sean to Babies R Us for the first time. And I think he was quite overwhelmed in there. We didn't' even make it to the back of the store before he told me he had to get out of there that "my head is spinning". I think it was too much baby stuff for him so he only lasted til about noon and I finished my shopping escapade by myself. I actually preferred it like that because I was able to just do my thing. So I headed to the mall, Hobby lobby, Michaels, Kohls, and JoAnn's. I got a TON of fabric so I can't wait to get to sewing. I need to get all my projects lined out and then I can get started! I think I found someone that would be willing to do my monogramming for a decent price so I'm excited!!! Here's pics of what I got!

Some fabric for my projects

Fabric for her bedding! I can't wait to start it!

My fav 2 outfits of the day

A sign for her room!

As you can tell, she got some goodies! I'm going to be spending some dough on this little girl. I did however, make a promise to Sean that I couldn't go on a shopping spree again until after my shower which is May 30th. Good thing my mom and I are going shopping in Wichita the weekend after! :)

Off to bed! nighty night!

22 weeks!

Watch what you say -- baby is now able to hear outside noise from down in the womb. Studies show that baby finds gentle music and your own voice most soothing. Nipples are starting to sprout, and that little face is fully formed. And, baby's starting to settle into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop.

So apparently at this point they don't do a fruit every week so enjoy this papaya until week 25.

Not much in the baby world. I'm starting to finally feel like I look pregnant and that it's not a fat roll. I'll take a picture tomorrow if I get time. I'll also blog about my weekend and all the cute baby stuff I got tomorrow as well! Because...

The HILLS is on tonight and it's LC's final season. And I'm addicted. Really addicted. So I have to go. Now. Peace.

Happy Birthday to...

this awesomely cool, ridiculously hot momma!

Yup, it's me!!! (Duh!)

My work was super sweet today and a few of the girls got me some treats! Miss Sharon made me banana cake without nuts (gross) and her and Becca got me this cute momma duck and baby duck decor thing that was super cute. Miss Tara knows the way to my heart is through my stomach and got me some sweets :). And Miss Wanda got me some awesome hand lotion. How lucky am I?

I'm so surprised they remembered my birthday. Ok. Ok. I know. I've had my birthday countdown going for months. How could they forget? :)

Well we are off to Topeka. We are going out to din-din tonight with Matty and Sara and then Sean and I are going to register for my shower and then I think Sara and I are going to do some shopping in KC after that.

At least I know this lady is doing some shopping! I can't wait!

Have a great weekend! :)

Oh, and my mom told me that I was born around 4:00 am. So that means I've been 25 for 12 hours and 34 minutes as of now.

Don't worry. I'll start my 26th birthday countdown in a few days. Don't you just worry! Ha!

Making her first debut...

She's so cute isn't she :)

Still nothing much in the Rodger house EXCEPT my birthday is in 2 days!!! :) Actually a day and a half. I'm not sure what time I was born, I'm guessing in the morning. So mom, if you are reading this, let me know. That is vital information.

Sean and I stopped in the baby section at Walmart last night. Apparently Sean and I have VERY different ideas of how our little girl should be dressed. He HATES polka dots and I love them. And majority of the baby clothes at Walmart had polka dots on it. He said as long as it only has a few he's ok. I'm not a frilly, dressed up girl. We both like simple. But cute, of course. This could be interesting. He said he was going to dress the baby in KU everyday.
Well see how long that lasts...

Btw, Happy April Fool's Day! Anyone play a trick on you?!?
