Cohen :: 9 months ::

Happy 9 months, sweet boy! You bring so much happiness to our family!!

 - You weigh 15 lbs 2 oz. You are our little peanut! This puts you in the less than negative 2% on the charts.
- You are 26 1/2 inches tall which also puts you in the less than negative 2% on the charts.
-Your head is 44 .1 and you are in the 25 % on the charts.

 - You have 4 teeth now. You did have 2 others that had popped through a while ago but they've since disappeared. We don't put our hands in your mouth as you love to bite!
- You now take formula and are doing good on  it. You take 8 oz every 4 hours.
- You are not a fan of food. I gave you jarred food for the first time and you were ok with it. But the homemade stuff isn't pureed enough for you and so you are not a fan! You definitely don't like certain textures.
- You love all fruits, yogurt, sweet potatoes, and squash!
 - You are not much of a self feeder. You can do it, but you prefer to be fed by someone else!
- You are not a fan of your sippy cup yet. But you are getting a little better at it!
 - You sleep 11 hours at night, normally from 8:30 - 7:30 or so.
- You take 1 small nap in the morning, about 1-2 hours in the afternoon and sometimes a small one in the evenings.
- You don't love sleep and love to know what is going on. You have a hard time falling asleep anywhere but your crib.
 - You are officially crawling on your hands and knees and also like to crawl on your hands and feet! We call it your bear crawl! You also love to walk holding on to our hands.
- You are pulling up on everything and have been for a while. Nothing is safe with you now! You also can get back down to the floor gracefully too.
- You are cruising the furniture a little, but not often.
 - You can be a daredevil and are not scared to try much.  You have plenty of bruises to prove so!
- You still aren't babbling sounds yet and so you'll be getting your hearing checked out soon just to be on the safe side.
- You love to dance. You'll bop up and down whenever we tell you to dance or if music is on.

  - You are in a size 2 diaper.
- You are in size 3-6 month shirts/onesies and size 3 month shorts. Newborn shorts actually fit you the best and you can't crawl out of those!
- You are wearing size 2 shoes!

 - You love attention and love to be talked to! Love to play peek a boo and pat a cake.
- You are majorly into pulling hair, especially your sisters!
- You are not shy at all and will go to anyone!

 - You wave hi and bye and love to give drooly kisses!
- You will give high fives.
- You snore!!

 - You can clap but in your own weird sort of way.
- You love any time of ball! If we lay toys out in front of your, you will always go to the ball first!
- You are a screamer! You'll scream for no reason at all or if you want to try and get our attention!

 We love you sweet boy!!
Happy 9 months! We LOVE you soooo much!

Mr. Max

It's really hard to believe it's been a year. A year since we last said our goodbyes.

This little boy made his parents, parents for the first time.
This little boy made me a first time aunt to a nephew.
This little boy made his grandparents either first time grandparents or grandparents to their first grandson.

Missed but never forgotten!

We love you, Max!

Past due visit!

2 weeks ago my friend Ashley came through town for FHSU graduation and she met us at Jalisco's for dinner! She had not met Cohen yet and we last saw her when Lyla was around 18 months! So, a long time ago and a visit was way past due. She looked stinkn' amazing and it was so great seeing her! Love you, Ash!! :)

Mother's Day 2012

One thing I need to get better about is blogging because I can't not remember much about Mother's day. The longer it takes to blog, the more I forget! Ha!

We went out to eat for Mother's day the day before! We went to Gella's since we had not been there in a while and I heart their food!

Oh my little diva! ;) I love her so!
I heart this little boy but he is going to be a handful!

 I love these babes!

Lyla had gotten into the lotion and got to much on her hands and so she thought it would be a great idea to wipe them on the door! Sean told me to take a picture because someday, we will miss those little hand prints!

I got this printable off a blog I read and I love having it on our sofa table! Sean and I have wrote corny little messages to each other! ;)
My in laws sent these beautiful flowers to me! ;)
Mother's day morning we headed off to church!

After church we grabbed lunch and then headed out to the in laws to hang out with them for a little bit as it had been a while since we had seen them!
And that was Mother's day 2012! ;)

Long time, no blog!

I'm still here! Just overly busy!!! We just got back for a 5 day vacation to go watch my brother become an Ironman! I have so much to blog about! ;)

Pictures!

We went to Abi's spring concert on May 1st and took some pictures before we went there! The kiddos did a good job staying somewhat quiet and still for the concert.  Or I guess I should say Lyla did good. Cohen is a mess! ;)

Love my little blessings! My big blessing, too! ;)

Riding along

About 2 weeks ago, we bought a bike trailer off of Amazon so we could all go on bikes rides. And so far, this has been the best purchase! We've probably gone all at least 1 bike ride a day, as long as the weather has been nice! Most of the time Sean pulls them behind his new tri bike, but last night and pulled them for the first time and it wasn't so bad! They both love it!  We've also started playing tennis together.  Lyla got a racket for her 2nd birthday and so she's been "hitting" the ball too! Sean even said I'm better than he thought I would be! :) I guess that's a compliment! Ha!

This would be from their first ride! Piper got to go along! Cohen is actually crying because Piper was walking all over him! He does enjoy going for the rides!

Here's to a summer of rides! :)

Another lately post.

I've been h to the orrible lately at blogging and also picture taking.  These have all been from the past 2 weeks or so!
One bit of exciting news was that I won us a swingset! There was a raffle in Hays for CASA of the High Plains and I won! :) Considering I feel like I never win anything, I was super excited! And that also makes one less thing we need to buy for the house! We were going to get one for the kids, but not until next year probably! Lyla LOVES it!

This was the night we got it, before Sean got the rock wall on it!

 Happy little girl!

 I just love her!

This little girl is fun, but a pain at times! Potty training is still not going well. She loves to be outside with us in the evening and come inside and pee right away. Makes NO sense! She had a vet appt on Monday and she weighed in a 4 lbs 5 oz. She was 10 weeks yesterday!

This sweet boy likes swinging too!

The finished product! Luckily with winning the swing set, we didn't have to put it together! :) Which Sean was very happy about! We just had to add on the swing, slide, and rock wall!

This guy is getting big and crawling up on everything.  He is officially crawling on his fours but he prefers to army crawl! Every once and a while he'll get up doing some real crawling! He loves to climb up the rock wall and get to the top!
Love this man! We'll be celebrating 5 years of marriage in just under 2 months! Time flies!

Lyla's new favorite way to swing! :)

Some other stuff:
Lyla is in the phase of asking question after question. All conversations go like this:
Lyla sees a picture. "What's his name, mommy."
(Most likely I have no idea) "Um, Fred."
"What Fred doing?"
"Fred is (sleeping, eating, swinging, walking, etc)."
What Fred (sleeping, eating, swinging, walking, etc) for?"
Because he's ( fill the the blank)."
"What Fred do that for?"
Repeat. And repeat. and repeat.
(I'm super happy she is talking well and has a great vocabulary, but oh.my.goodness.  She talks ALL the time!)

She always asks what daddy is doing and here is my new response.
"What daddy doing?"
"Daddy is working."
"What daddy working for?"
"To make money."
"What daddy make money for?"
"So mommy can go shopping?"
"Oh, good."

This morning she asked to go to Char's house (a friend that watches the kids sometimes) and asked if her friends were going? So I said sure and asked which friends? She said Alyssa (another person she watches) and Ty and KK! :)

Lyla has started trying to tell jokes. She'll randomly say something and look at me and say, "That's funny, mommy." and start laughing!

There are so many funny things she says, and I really need to get better at writing them down. Every time I try to write a post and write some of the funnies, I never remember!

Cohen is doing great too!  She's still pulling up on everything, is waving, and walking a little while holding on to us! He is getting so big!!! But he is still a little peanut! I went shopping last Friday with my mom to get the kids some summer clothes and I bought Cohen 3-6 month pair of jeans (that are still way big but his 0-3 have gotten holes in it from wearing it for almost 9 months!) and a bunch of shorts in size 3 months.  And even those are a bit big on him!!! He/We just recently quit nursing, which makes me a bit sad! Oh, I just love him!
