Cohen Finn :: 2 1/2 years ::

Sweet boy, it is so hard to believe you are 2 and a half already!  You keep us on our toes and time just flies when you are around.  Even if you are onery as can be - you are also the sweetest little thing!  You are the best at giving hugs! You wrap your arms around us super hard and just squeeze!  You also love to give random kisses during the day which I love as well!  Even though you go 100% during the day and barely rest, you are my little snuggle bug before bed!

Yesterday was your 2 1/2 well child check! Here are your deets!

- You weighed 26.7 (with clothes on). At home you weigh about 25 lbs. That put you in the 15th percentile.
- You are 34 inches tall and in the 10th percentile.

- You are wearing 18-24 months but fit perfectly in 12 month pants - except they are high waters on you. Most pants fall off you and we are forever pulling you up.

- You are wearing size 7 - 7 1/2 shoes

- You are in size 3 diapers still.
- We will probably begin working on potty training here soon - though I'm really in no hurry. I'd rather do it the easy way when you are super ready than to rush something you aren't 100% ready for and it be a chore for us to do!

- You sleep from about 9 at night til 7 in the morning.  Sometimes you like to spice things up with getting up at 5:45 or 6.  Not cool Cohen. Mama needs sleep.

- You still take 1 nap in the afternoon for 1-2 hours.

- You are a good eater if it is something you absolutely love.  If not, it's hit or miss. If it's spaghetti, sloppy joes or pancakes, you'll eat 4 or 5 helpings!

- You love to snack and I randomly find you trying to get into any food you can get your paws on! The other day you got into one of my clients smash cakes and gobbled it up!

- You still love balls and have a good 50 of them probably!  You love to play "hoops" or "olf".  You will turn anything into a bat and play baseball or golf with it including my hair brush! :)

-You like Daniel Tiger and Elmo and enjoying playing and writing your letters on the iPad. We still find you in random hiding places where you have snuck the ipad too.

- Besides the Ipad, you love farm stuff, cows, your "aw-hawks" (Jayhawks), playing football with daddy and wrestling daddy, going to fhsu games or watching just about any sport!

- You also very much love your sisters! You want to be where ever Lyla is and you want to hold Stella a lot. You say me hold baby.  That is your name for her - always baby. If you try to say her name, it sounds like ella.

- You will be starting speech soon.  Your vocabulary has increased so much since December but since you couldn't hear much your first 16 months of life, your speech is a bit delayed and impaired. When you talk you mostly leave the first sound off the word.  But you will try and repeat just about everything.

- You love to pray before dinner and you say God good, amen.  Straight to the point!

-  You love to play barbies with Lyla - you actually like to play just about anything Lyla plays but we have caught you playing barbies by your self a few times!

- You do not listen very well and like to test mommy and daddy!  It always take counting to two before you finally listen.  If we tell you not to do, you'll most likely do it.

- You love to try and help doing dishes and laundry or just about anything we do.  Usually this makes tasks about 100 times harder, but you are so sweet when you do it!

- You are also a daredevil and love to jump off just about everything!

- With help you can count to thirteen but you really have no interest in learning your letters.  Keeping you sitting still to focus on something is a near impossible task!

As much as you may drive us nuts at times, you are a complete joy and we couldn't imagine you not in our lives! Love you Co Finn!

Wichita, tris, & fam!

This past weekend we headed down to Wichita to visit family and for Sean to compete in his first indoor tri at the YMCA!  We headed down Friday and stayed the night with my brother and Ben!  He has gotten so big (Ben that is) and was so much fun to play with!

Saturday morning we headed to Sonya and Ryans to see baby Ike and do his newborn pictures.  I kinda want another baby. And yes I'm crazy! And Sean nixed that idea quick! :)

Miss Stella is a pretty good size for her age but she looked super big next to Ike! :) They are a little over 4 months apart!

And just because she's cute! :)

Here are some race pictures! So proud of my hubs!

And this guy is pretty dang sweet! :) Loves him!

Sean's session was at 9 - he had to swim 500 yards, bike 6 miles and run 2 miles!  He did good one the swim and was the second person out of the pool.  The bike was pretty boring just watching him pedal away! :)

 Some of his fans!

I just love this picture.  There were not a lot of observers so the kiddos were high fiving and cheering for the runners as they went by!

Next up was Kevin at 10:30.

Our attempt at a family picture!  3 out of 5 looking so I consider it a success! The other ones we had only 2 were looking and I bet you can guess who they were!

And I love this! Cohen wants to be just like daddy!

Overall Sean got 30th out of 89 and Kevin got 6th out of 89!  Super proud of both of them!

Stella Monroe's 3 month pictures

I finally got around to editing Miss Stells 3/4 month pictures! She's been holding her head up well since about 2 months but I like waiting until closer to 4 months for these milestone shots because they just turn out better when they can do it really really well! I know she is mine but she is the cutest, most photogenic baby! I could take her picture all the time! :) Good thing she's cooperative!

And here she is... Miss Stella Monroe

Stella Monroe :: 4 months ::

It is SO hard to believe you are 4 months already sweet girl! You are such a good baby and a blessing to our family!

- You probably weigh around 13 1/2 - 14 lbs. Your 4 month appt is in 3 days, so I'll know for sure then! (Appt update: You weigh 13.6 lbs and were 24.5 inches long. You also have your first ear infection!)
- You are in 0-3 and 3-6 month clothes. Some 0-3 fits perfectly while most is too small. I actually just went through your closet tonight and it made me so sad!

- You are wearing size 1/2 shoes, mostly 1s.
- You are in size 2 diapers

- You are not a great napper but do sleep pretty good at night.  A normal night is 8-10 hours sometimes you'll get up a little earlier but relatively it is at least 8 hours a night. (Mama is in heaven!)
-You don't nap great and are not on a real schedule.  We have started putting you in the crib for naps as you have normally napped in the swing.  Sometimes you have to cry a little to go to sleep and sometimes your thumb goes in your mouth and you are out like  alight.  You sleep anywhere from 20 mins to 2 hours, ya never know!

- You nurse about every 2-4 1/2 hours. No food yet (and don't plan on it for about another month or so.
- You will take bottles just fine!

- You are the smilest little thing.  If anyone talks to you, you automatically smile!
- You like to laugh and just recently found your really true laugh.  You also love to talk a lot too!

- You can roll front to back and back to front, though now that you figured out how to roll back to front, you hardly ever roll front to back. You started rolling back to front at 3 months!
- You are started to try and sit up some. You'd much rather be up right than laying down.

- You love your jumperoos!  You can really get a going in them!
- You also love your stuffed giraffe and your hands. Its your favorite thing to chew on!
- Your nicknames are Stelly Roe roe, Stells, Stella bella, Stellarella, or smelly stelly!

- Your big brother did manage to get your out of your swing and (i'm hoping) gently put you on the ground. He came up to me and said hold baby. I told him not now and he goes uh oh.  So I went to look at you and you were laying on the ground just smiling! :)  You will be a tough girl!

- You try and twist yourself out of the swing and so we don't put you in there much anymore. You are a mover!

- You love your thumb but will take a pacifer occasionally.

- Your hair is starting to come in and it can look brown or blondeish red sometimes.  Your eyes are also still blue and I really hope they stay!

Happy 4 months sweet girl! We love you oh.so.much!!!!
