25 weeks! {Way late!}

{I meant to publish this earlier in the week but forgot. And since I'm 2 days away from 26 weeks, I figured I should hurry it up! Next week, I'm hoping to finally get a belly picture!}

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 25 Weeks
Size of baby: Baby Jay weighs 1.8 lbs and 13.5 inches long - about the size of a rutabaga, whatever that may be.
Total Weight Gain/Loss:I'm claiming a mulligan this week because of how much food I ate over the weekend. But I'm guessing my weight is a lot!
Maternity Clothes: Pants and some shirts
Gender: Baby Jay is a BOY! He does have a name and we are so excited! Love it!
Movement:Regularly! Love it! You can also see my belly move now. Lyla has also felt it, but she has no idea what is going on!
Sleep: Oh, how I miss sleep. I'm learning to live without it! I feel like I have a newborn already, minus the newborn!
What I miss: Being able to get off the couch gracefully! My beautiful sleep. Working out and running.
Cravings:Water, fruity stuff, Red Robin (still haven't had that and doubt I will!). Mac & Cheese & steak...but don't worry. Not together! Sweets, sweets and more sweets!
Symptoms: Crying and peeing all the time, and being hungry 24.7. Otherwise, I'm doing really good!
Best Moment this week: Easter!

A day with the girls.

I got to watch my girls the other day! I love time with them! We sang songs, braided hair, played with puzzles, got out every toy we own, and fought a lot. Oh and Miss Abi rubbed my feet. She loves her Aunt Andrea !

Miss Lyla is going to have a rude awakening whenever Baby Jay comes. She didn't want to share my time, attention or my lap. Oi vey, the child spent more time in timeout than she ever has. She was naughtier than I've ever seen. Abi enjoyed playing mother hen between Avery and Lyla and pretended to be mom. I think she's got the in charge attitude down pat. Lyla loved all the attention, but after a bit, she had enough! :)

Apparently everyone wants to wear bunny ears!

A rare occasion that Lyla and Avery got along. I think it was shortly after this that they were fighting over the letter P.

I love them! :)

We also played the game Name Baby Jay. Their choices: Baby Oak, Baby Cici, Baby Zucchini, Baby Roasted Potato and Baby Dan. I guarantee that he will not be named any of the above. :)

Oh, and funny story. Abi asked me if they were going to have to cut the baby out again and I was like, "No, hunny. They didn't cut Lyla out". To which Miss curious asked how this baby would come out then. My reaction: Oh yeah, I forgot. They will cut him out! :) I wasn't about to talk about how babies come out if they aren't cut out! That's a questions for her momma and daddy! :) Have fun, Nee!

Love you girls!

Easter 2011

I loved my Easter with our families! We are extremely blessed and I loved getting to visiting with both our families! Love you all!

We started Easter bright and early with an Easter basket! Miss Lyla got a book, bath toy, and watering kit for outside. She loves to help Sean outside, so now she can help water the flowers! Maybe she'll do better than her momma!

We went to church with Sean's family and then headed out to their house for lunch. We had some AWESOME food! Brisket, potato's, a german dish that I have no idea how to spell, but it is heaven in my mouth, & mac and cheese! This pregnant lady was in heaven! Then Miss Lyla was beyond tired, so she napped while we did the egg hunt with the girls, which they loved! She also got an Easter basket from her Aunt Nee', Grandma and Nana. She got tons of candy, a KU cheerleading outfit, 2 stools for her play table, more candy and a book!

Then we headed to my parents and got to see baby Max again! We missed him! And you two, Kevin and Kelci! We did an egg hunt there and it took a little bit, but she got the hang of it! Mr. Max participated with the help of his daddy as well!

My girl sure can be a diva. With an attitude to prove it! :) I told you she loved sunglasses and her bunny ears!

Love her!

The new mama and Mr. Max!

And finally a family picture! Lyla adores her uncle Kevin and wouldn't take her eyes off of him to look at the camera! And yes, our outfits coordinated.
We then had another scrumptious meal of ribs, ham, potatoes, green bean casserole, coleslaw and corn. Yum-o! I didn't even weigh myself this morning because I'm scared. Lyla also got an Easter basket from her granna and pops and aunt and uncle. She got more candy (yay!) a little doll, more sunglasses, a cup, and other goodies! This momma is so excited about all this candy! :)

The boys took a few pictures of Lyla with some sidewalk chalk eggs she got! We watched them from inside and it was hilarious watching them try to get her attention!

After supper, we took some shots of this cutie! Except he didn't really want to cooperate! He was wide awake for most of it, but we finally got him to sleep. For a little bit! I forgot a few of my props that I wanted to use, so we are going to do them again in a few weeks!

I miss him already!

Lyla {20 months}

20 months is really weird to type. That's old for Lyla. I'm not ready for this! And actually, the other day I told someone that she was 22 months. Pregnancy brain, maybe? :)
She still doesn't seem like she's almost 2! I still see her as a 1 year old!

You weigh about 22.5 lbs wearing 18 month clothes and some 12 month stuff.

You are in size 3 diapers and cloth diapers.

You sleep from 8-8 and nap for 2-2.5 hours.

You are still a great eater and will eat just about anything! You're not a big fan of meat, tho!

New words: Dee (for one of my parents dogs), Kelci, potty, poopy, pee pee are some new ones. She pretty much will repeat anything we ask. You're vocabulary is pretty good, to me at least. Other's can't always understand! You're saying new words everyday and I can't even list every word your saying. She'll also talk in some 2 words sentences, but it's mostly hi mommy, daddy, etc or bye mommy, daddy, reesie, etc.

You can match your colors and you love puzzles and books! You are constantly bringing us books and telling us more whenever you want to keep doing it. You know all your body parts and love to point out other people's. You only match monkey's to their noise they make. You'll do others but they all almost sound like oo-oo-oo!
You are in this stage where you love to pull down the top of my shirt and lay your head on my skin. You also love to show people momma's belly which isn't my favorite thing right now! You also love to kiss my belly and say hi to the baby!

You love to be outside and that is normally the only time you are a daddy's girl!

You are now in a big girl bed and have transitioned to it well!

My new favorite part of the day is when you wake up from naps and come out to the living room. You are always so excited and happy! Such a big girl!

You love sunglasses right now and also love to put things on your head!

You're favorite toys right now are your swing, water table and golf clubs!

You are generally very happy unless you're tired or hungry! Just like momma!

You are still obsessed with puppies. If you hear a puppy bark you say puppy over and over again and look around for it!
Love you sweet girl! Happy 20 months!

Easter Eggs!

My girls...Love them!

Dan, Nee and the girls came over Tuesday for supper and eggs! The girls and I have dyed eggs pretty much since I've been their aunt...so 3 or 4 years. This year we wrote everyone's names on them. Our fingers were pretty much stained pink! :) Abi and Avery did pretty good and Lyla just wanted to splash in the dye...um, no thanks sweet kid!

The girls doing their thing! I love them! :) I have such great nieces!

Random

Nothing much going on around here. We've been quite lazy with this dreary weather. I've been exhausted (thank you baby jay) and kinda in a funk. So we've done a lot of nothing to be honest. Last night we did decorate Easter eggs with my nieces and I'll blog that tomorrow. I still need to do a post on Lyla being 20 months but it hasn't been nice enough outside to snap a few pictures. How can she really be 20 months already, anyways?!?

I'll do a post on Lyla's new room too! For now, just a sneak peek. I'm waiting on a canvas to come in the I designed for her room and also a few other things. Including a dresser that I can't find anywhere! Hoping I'll find one soon! That'll be the last final touch!

She has done so well recently with the transition to her new bed. She now goes right to sleep without much fussing. She hasn't fallen out recently either! :) And now in the mornings, instead of getting up and coming out, she's been playing quietly in her room. Every morning I find a mixture of books and puzzles and random toys on her bed! But this momma gets about 20 more minutes of sleep!

I also want to post about all the goodies I've gotten so far for baby jay. I also need to get my tush in motion and make a few things for him! Oh, motivation, where are you?

24 weeks!

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 24 Weeks
Size of baby: Baby Jay weighs little over a lb and 12 inches long - about the size of an ear of corn.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: As of this morning, 24 lbs. My guess is I'll be gaining 45+ pounds with this kid. We did eat a whole lotta food yesterday, so hopefully that number will go down in a few days. Numerous people have said they gained more with their 2nd kid and also gained the most with boys. Eek!
Maternity Clothes: Pants and some shirts
Gender: Baby Jay is a BOY! He does have a name and we are so excited! Love it!
Movement:Regularly! Love it! You can also see my belly move now.
Sleep: Sleep is not going well. Recently I have to get up to pee around 5 and then also my hips and arms fall asleep numerous times so I'm always tossing and turning.
What I miss: Being skinny! Ha!
Cravings:Water, fruity stuff, Red Robin (still haven't had that and doubt I will!). Mac & Cheese & steak...but don't worry. Not together!
Symptoms:Crying and peeing all the time, and being hungry 24.7. Otherwise, I'm doing really good!
Best Moment this week: Hitting 24 weeks! Week of viability!
I had my appt with my doc last Friday and things are good. Heartbeat was 150 and I'm measuring right on even though baby is measuring small. I spoke with my doc about how I DO NOT want to be induced this time. He agreed that my due date will probably be around...get this.. August 17th. Anyone know what day that is? That will be our princess's birthday! Ha! But we will worry about all that when I get closer. So I'm guessing even though, I'm 24 weeks, instead of having 16 weeks to go, I probably have 18!

Eisenhower 10K

On Sat, April 9th, Sean ran his first 10K. He's been training for it for a few weeks and I'm so proud of him for accomplishing his goal. He had a goal time of 50 minutes and finished it in 49.40.

We went down on Friday evening, got registered and then stayed with the bromance. I don't think either Sean or I slept much and Miss Lyla didn't feel like sleeping much either! My parents traveled done early in the morning and met us at the race!

Lyla
stretching with daddy!

Getting ready to race...

He's the one in the red in the middle.

Hey, hot runner!

Here he comes! (In the red!)

Crossing the finish line!

We are so proud of you daddy!

Looking at his finished ribbon.

Sean finished 10th overall and finished 1st in his age group! So he did awesome for his first race!

After the race we headed for some breakfast with my parents and then they took Lyla with them for 3 days! It was the first time I've been away from her that long!

After we got ready for the day, we headed to Salina and met up with Ty and Kayla. The boys all went golfing while Kayla and I had a shopping day! Then for supper we headed to a Japanese Steakhouse, which I love going to! Then to finish off the night, we sat out on Ty and Kayla's porch and just chatted! Love them all! We had a great time seeing them all!
