Cohen Finn ::13 months::

I can't believe you are more of a toddler than a baby. Luckily, with you being so little, you still feel very much like a baby to me!

 - You finally hit 17 lbs! :)
- You wear 6 month clothes, size 2 shoes, and size 3 diapers.
- You sleep about 11 hours a night from 8:30-7:30 and nap 1 or 2 times a day. The best naps are in the afternoon!

- You are a great eater now and want to eat constantly! You love pretty much everything!
- You can sign more and do it a lot whenever you are eating and want more food!
- You also take a sippy cup really well now and no longer take a bottle!

- Still no words and very minimal sounds. You say "eh" alot and will babble d sounds.
- You've battled chronic ear infections and just recently had another which could attribute to your lack of speech. Sometimes you'll say the uh part of uh-oh.
- You do sign more consistently and sometimes all done.
- When you want something you walk around, point and say eh.

- You'll wave hi and bye and at night night.
- Will give wide open mouths kiss if we ask for them.
- Will blow kisses too!

 - You scrunch your nose every time you smile and I LOVE it about you!
- If we tell you no or take something away you'll throw a major fit!
- You whine. A lot!

- You are a full time walker and are pretty much running now.
- You love to dance to music!
- You love to climb on and off of things!
- You are not shy at all and will go to anyone! You love to be held so you are game with anyone that will hold you!

We love you, little boy! :)

Mr. Cohen ::12 months::

 Happy 1st Birthday, sweet boy!
I still can't believe the first year of your life is over. It has gone by so quick. A blink of my eye and you are 1!

 - You weigh around 16-17 lbs. You have your appt tomorrow so I'll know for sure then. I high doubt you've hit 17 lbs but we shall see! (You had your 12 month appt on 8/20 and you weighed 16 lbs 15 oz and in the 2 %. You are 28 inches tall which is also the 2 %)
- You wear size 3-6 months and a few 6-9 months. Your pants are all 3-6 months but they are too short on you!
- You are in a size 2 or 3 shoes and size 3 diaper.

- You sleep from 8:30 to 7:30.
- You take 1 nap a day in the afternoons. Some days you'll sleep an  hour and some 3 1/2. It all varies.
-You are finally becoming an eater! You eat all your veggies and all fruits except for bananas. I don't think you like the feel of them! You also have a sweet tooth! Not a big fan of meats either.
- You finally have started taking a sippy cup better. You like the ones with the straw and only use the bottle in the morning and bed time.

-Your biggest milestone is that you are taking steps.  The most you have done is 13 and you are getting more steady every day.
- You can also stand up in the middle of a room and have been for about a month.
- You love to climb! We've caught you climbing up the swing set rock wall using toys to try and climb up the couch, etc!
- You've also figured out just recently how to get off the couch gracefully!

- You, verbally, are not doing well. You only say your b and d sounds. So no mama sounds yet.
- You are doing good with directions  - Sit down, go get this, go to mommy, etc.
- Your newest thing is to try and mimic the itsy bitsy spider. It's pretty cute!
- You LOVE beds and pillows.  You will crawl over a bed and stand up and just fall on the pillows!

- You are a screamer! You are LOUD.  Extremely loud!  You don't like to sit still  for a minute. Or for a second. You've made easy outings, but more difficult!
- You are needy and are in a stage where you love to be held. Specifically by your momma! If you see me, you scream and point at me and raise your hands up until I get you.
- You love to clap, point, wave hi and bye, play so big and where's cohen!
- You still love all boys, any toys that make noise esp your piano or toy ipad!

- You love to play chase with your sister and you two will laugh and laugh together! Lyla loves to tell me that you are her best friend and buddy! ;) You love her as long as she isn't taking something from you! ;)

-----------------------

Happy 1st birthday, Cohen Finn! You are the sweetest little boy and we just love you SO much! You have the cutest little laugh, prettiest eyes and the longest little eye lashes! You make your daddy, sister and I so happy!

Cohen :: 11 months ::

My sweet baby is 11 months old! I can hardly believe I will have a 1 year old really soon! Super sad face!

He has been so much fun lately! Such a joy baby! ;)

-You weigh a touch over 16 lbs!
- You wear size 3-6 months and size 2 shoes.
-You are in size 3 diapers.
 - You sleep from around 8:30/9 - 7:30ish.
- You are still not the greatest eater but you are finally eating corn, peas and some green beans. You also love pizza crust! ;)  Most food gets thrown on the floor or you gag and throw it up. You can stop that anytime.
- You take a 8 oz bottle every 3 1/2-4 hours.
- Not a huge fan of sippy cups, but sometimes you'll use one.

 - You are into everything! You are crawling, standing for a few seconds without holding on (mostly without you knowing) and plenty of cruising. My prediction is you will not be walking by a year. Take your time sweet boy. I have no desire for you to get bigger. Or older.
- You wave hi and bye, give kisses, blow kisses (you put your hand up to your mouth), dance, clap and raise your hands up when we ask how big you are!
- You are a pretty happy guy! You have the cutest laugh that sounds like a machine gun!
- Still no words, but you are still making your b, g, d sounds.

 - Your favorite toys would be a ball, your shape sorter , or anything you shouldn't have! ;)
- You are still a water baby!
- One of your favorite things to do is jump out of our arms on to the bed and crawl around and hide behind the pillows!
- You love to be chased!
- Your hair is just a hot mess and I have no idea what to do with it. You have thin hair with a receding hair line! ;)

Happy 11 month birthday sweet boy!

Catching up

The past few days have included: whining(on my part), meds (on my part), bananas and applesauce (on Cohen's part), being a rock star at potty training (Lyla's part) and becoming an annoying Lysol disinfector person (Sean's part). Needless to say, it's been an interesting few days around here!

I ended up getting sick Sunday morning which included a fever, chills and aches so bad that I could have sworn someone took me out back, beat me up and then threw me in front of a bus. There hasn't been enough ibuprofen in the world to keep me feeling better for the past few days. Sean stayed home a half a day on Monday and all of Tuesday to take care of the kiddos. Tuesday I went to the doctor and got diagnosed with an infection of my throat - I had some impressive puss pockets, I was told! A med later, and I feel like a whole new person. My throat is still bothering me, but I have recovered from being beat up and getting thrown in front of that imaginary bus!

Here's a fact about Sean - he is a Lysol cleaning annoying freak when it comes to someone getting sick. He thinks he knows it all when it comes to getting sick and even bought cold medicine because he thought taking it would prevent him from getting anything. Um, Mr. Sean - not so much. Tuesday he pretty much walked around the house with a Lysol can and wouldn't get within a couple feet of me. It's love people! ;)

Lyla is still doing great with potty training! I'm so proud of her. We haven't had an accident at our house for over a week and had done really well out in public. While I was sick, she went to a sitter here in town for the morning and she had 2 accidents, but when she went again yesterday, she did great! :) I will say, for as much as I was dreading this, it has gone so well and I'm enjoying not changing another person's diaper! She also started dance class again last Tuesday and Sean took her! Made me sad...I don't like missing it!

Cohen is doing good and growing! I can't believe he'll be 6 months in about a week. How did this happen. If you look at him though, he doesn't look like a 6 month old in anyway. I would say more like a 4 month old! He's just so tiny! He's now had bananas and loves them and applesauce, but isn't a big fan of that. I'm going to make some sweet potato tonight for him. I also let him play with a sippy cup yesterday and he hated it in his mouth - just like a bottle. News flash for him...my boob gets cut off at a year so he better find something else! ;) His sleeping had also been a problem so Tuesday Sean moved his crib into Lyla's room and Lyla's bed to our room. Lyla was a very independent sleeper and once we moved her to her own room she was sleeping through the night, 10-12 hours at night. Well the first night for Cohen I got up to feed him at 4:30 because he couldn't settle himself down and then got up at 6:30. Last night, he went to sleep at 8, woke at 4:30, fussed for a little while (maybe on and off for 30 minutes) and went back to sleep until 7! :) YAY!!!! I know crying it out can seem mean, but it really works for my kiddos!

Lyla loves being in our room and even asked to go to sleep last night at 8:15 and wanted to sleep in her new bed. Apparently putting her old bed in our rooms constitutes a new bed! The past 2 nights she has been so excited to go to bed and take naps. One night she didn't even want to pray, just jumped in the bed, got under her blanket and closed her eyes! If this is what it takes for her to go to bed this easy, we'll start moving her bed around every week! ;) Also, this makes me beyond ready for a new house that has more than 2 bedrooms! I never thought my 2 year old would be sleeping in our room!

By the way, we may be homeless in about a month - anyone want to house us?? ;)

Cereal and a princess

This little guy is finally liking some cereal! :) Now he grabs for the spoon and opens his mouth for it & actually swallows most of it! We've tried a few times here and there for the past 2 weeks and he just wasn't ready. Now he is! :) He even finished his first bowl of it last night!

He's also getting pretty good at sitting - he is getting to big, to fast!

We've had a few rough nights for the past week or so. Luckily last night he slept for about 10 hours with a little crying fit around 1:30. I got about 7 1/2 hours of sleep and I feel like a new woman. I haven't had that much sleep in a while! Don't get me wrong...I'm still tired. But it felt great to get some sleep. I didn't even mind waking up at 6 this morning! :) Now if only Lyla would sleep past 7 and I could actually have some peace and quiet in the mornings! :) Ha!

And this little missy. Well she is pretty much a hot mess right now! She loves to go without clothes and will randomly take off her clothes whenever she feels. Or she wants to change her clothes numerous times a day.

These little beauties are on her feet quite often too. A princess in princess shoes and a diaper! Great little mixture!

Play date and fall

This morning I hosted a library play date for my Mom's club. I love all things cute, so I found these on pinterest and just had to make them for the kiddos. Ghost s'mores... the picture is bad but they are cute! And I love me some peeps!

I was trying to get a picture of them together before we left and this is what I got. Lyla throwing a fit... thanks Ly.
This afternoon we spent some time outside since it is beautiful!!!

She is a hot mess... what a hair do!

I think I've lost my battle with Sean... looks like I'm going to have a basketball player and not my cheerleader. Though, maybe technically I haven't lost since she loves to cheer while she's playing! ;)
I'll love her to pieces whether she's kicking butt in sports or getting all dolled up!
Also, Mr. Cohen has some exciting news!

I plan to use the chalkboard to document his 1st's. Though I don't really like how this one turned out. To many words or something... I'll have to think of something different for next time.

And this is blurry, but it's part of his smile... sometimes he smiles like this or we get tiny little grins. Either way, super cute.
This is the look we get a lot, my serious boy! ;)
Yes, he is finally smiling! And he makes us work hard for it! I've tried so hard to get it on camera and I haven't gotten a good one, except for this one off my phone!

Love my sweet girl!My babes!
And this video I got... please ignore the baby talk/voice. And don't mind the fact I'm ignoring Lyla the whole time. I promise I don't... most of the time! ;) Ha!

Yay for a great day! ;) Love my sweet family!

-----
And for a memory, I told Lyla that she was going to see her mimi, Abi and Avery tomorrow and she threw a HUGE fit because she wanted to see them right now. So we called Abi to talk to her, and the minute she heard Abi's voice, she broke out in a huge smile. I know that made her day! So thanks for making Lyla happy again, Abi! ;)
