Maternity pics : Baby Jay 3.0

At the end of July we did maternity pictures to capture Baby Jay 3.0. I had the date planned out quite a bit in advanced so it was the only weekend that we were available before I was huge! Of course, the day we were are to do them, it is super overcast and rainy! It actually started raining right before our session. Aimee had a spot picked out that was covered with trees so you really can't tell it was raining on us! We did them pretty quick but we got some great shots.

Love him - can't believe he won't be the baby anymore!

This little girl is the sweetest, happiest, sassiest little thing. Such a joy!

Happy Birthday Lyla! (August 17th)

It is super weird to me that I have a 4 year old now! Lyla has been SO excited to turn 4 and thinks she can do so much more now. She also said she wasn't going to suck her thumb when she was 4 but so far we are not 100% broke on that yet.
Her gifts before bed!

We put balloons in her room, but she woke up in the middle of the night and was excited balloons were in her room. So she ended up sleeping with us after that!

The kids each got 3 presents and then as a joint gift they got their first little trampoline, which they love! Best money spent. Miss Lyla got an Ariel doll, a doc mcstuffins puzzles and her favorite movie - Monsters.

 Birthday donuts!

Birthday morning donuts. If you look close - I only put 3 candles on it! Oops!

This is how we found her sleeping when we took the balloons into her room.

Date night

It's kinda sad to sad, but Sean and I had not been on a date with just him and I since the beginning of Feb. Feb 9th to be exact as it was just a few days after we found out we were expecting again!  My parents had the kiddos for the weekend so Saturday I worked in the morning and then napped the afternoon away. After football games we headed off to Gella's (really the only nice place to go eat) for dinner and then just headed home to watch a movie. We were going to go to the theatre but I'm much more comfy in my Pj's and big body pillow on the couch! We watched Olympus has fallen and it was really good! Definitely must see! Then we watched an episode of Orange is the new black on Netflix. Kinda naughty, but addicting! And that folks was date night! :)

I am surprised to say we didn't talk about the kids too much! We actually had other things to talk about for once! :)

Preschool year 2 - Miss Lyla

Lyla LOVES school but we decided at the end of last year that we were not going to send her in the fall with all the new changes we were going to be having. Well then our preschool ended up closing and so we decided we would take the year off since she would be doing full preschool next year. She's a pretty smart cookie - so there was no hurt in not sending her. Well then I heard about a program through Hays High where the students "teach" the kids twice a week for about an hour. It gives her some one on one time and plus it's free. So win win. Her first day was last thursday and she loved it the whole time and can't wait to go back. She goes thursday and fridays and then in December can go as much as 5 days a week if we wanted. With driving from victoria we probably won't do 5 days but will most likely do 3!

We got her a new book bag and she picked out the ladybug! We just need to get it embroidered and it'll be perfect!

And since Cohen loves to do everything his sister does - here he is posing with her!

His bag is about the size of him!

Obligatory pictures... I hope Lyla and Cohen (and the baby) don't mind that I'll be doing this until they are out of college if I can! :)

The program is for 3-5 year olds so I'm hoping next year Cohen will get to go as well. Her "teachers" seem to love her and the head teacher of the class told me she was a super smart and special little girl with great manners! Music to this momma's ear. She makes me so proud.

The teachers have NO idea what will be ahead of them when Cohen goes! :):) He likes to keep people on their toes. Or wrestle them.

37/38 weeks

(Not the most flattering picture but I was SUPER tired and it was 730 am. Don't judge! :)

How far along? 37/38  weeks (I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow)
Total weight gain? Around 26 lbs
Maternity clothes? Yup
Sleep? Horrible lately. I'm up to pee at 1230, 3 and then I'm normally awake for 1-2 hours and then back to sleep til the kiddos get up.
Best moment this week?  I don't really have one - I guess I got a few more things for baby girl but that's about it!
Miss anything? Being about to move normally.
Movement? Yes, to often actually. I was hoping she'd slow down some. She is super active from 8-11 at night too. And it hurts!
Food cravings? Pineapple1
Anything making you queasy/sick? Not lately, knock on wood!
Gender? It's a girl! And yes she has a name but still a secret!
Labor Signs? Tons of braxton hicks and maybe some real contractions here and there.
Symptoms? Normal pregnancy stuff. I hurt, I'm tired and I don't move very fast! :)And I feel HUGE.
Belly button in or out? Slightly out.
Wedding rings on or off? Off - my hands are the only swollen thing on me most days.
Happy or moody? Honestly, I'm pretty moody - just depends how I feel. But I'm pretty sure Sean is ready for me to be back to my happy self!
Looking forward to? Not being pregnant and for her to be here!

At my appt last thursday her heart rate was 134 and has been around that at all my last few appts. I'm measuring right now and things look good. All we really have left to do is install the carseat and I have her blanket to sew and my bag to pack. But that is about it. I'm not in a hurry because I'm pretty sure she will be a late October baby. As of today I have 15 days til my due date and no more than 29 days total if I go late. Here is to hoping I don't go that late!

I'm at the point where I'm pretty much toast. I have NO energy or motivation to do a thing. Sean has been super with helping with things and the kids have been pretty good lately, so they must be taking it easy on me! :) Except for Cohen. He still likes to keep me on my toes. Speaking of which I need to do a post on them for their 2 year and 4 year stats! Soon - hopefully!

Update - I had my 38 week appt today. Baby girls' heartbeat was 140 and I'm still measuring perfect. I am dilated to a 3 and 60% effaced! So some progress - though I'm not expecting much! Guess it's time we finally installed the car seat! :)
