I was blessed with my first nephew, sweet Maxton Foster exactly 1 year ago. You were a pretty special little man and I was over the moon about you. I will never forget your birthday.

At 7:00 am, I was fast asleep when my phone rang and your daddy was calling me to let me know you were making your debut today. I called your uncle to let him know that Lyla and I were offf to meet you. I got ready as fast as I could and by 8 I was out the door, heading to you. We got there around 11 and ate at Wendy's when your daddy called and wanted some too. We headed across the street to the hospital and me your daddy in the waiting room. Your mommy was trying to take a nap and so we didn't get to see her for a little while. I tried guessing your name since your mommy and daddy were keeping it a secret until you were born. Your daddy gave me a few clues, but I never guessed your name!

Lyla and I then got to go in and see your momma! Everyone was full of excitement as we tried patiently waiting for you! Your granna and pops arrived a little later and we continued to wait for you. Lyla and I headed to the mall to let her play in the play area while we waited. Shortly later I got the text that it was time! Your momma was going to start pushing. I hurried back to the hospital and was only there a few minutes when your daddy came out, tears in his eyes, letting us know that they were blessed with a new little boy. A nephew for me. I had secretly hoped you were a little boy. I have all nieces and I wanted a little boy to spoil! Come to find out, you came out purple and it took a little bit to stimulate you, but you were just fine. Mommy and daddy spent some time bonding with you, while Granna, Pops, Lyla and I went to get a bite to eat. Your mommy texted us to let us know we could come and meet you! I'll be quite honest as I was super excited getting to meet you. I couldn't wait to get my hands on you!

You were a perfect, little boy. 10 fingers, 10 tiny toes, all 7 lbs and 18 1/2 inches of you. You looked liked your daddy to me and had his same little chin. You didn't have much hair nor did you have any eye brows or eye lashes. But you were cute. Actually you were stinkn' cute!

Everyone else was leaving and Lyla and I stayed around a little longer to spend time with you ad your mommy and daddy. They got situated in their room and were absolutely smitten with you. You are such a loved little boy.

I'm pretty sure your 1st birthday in heaven is going to be spectacular!
We love and miss you, Mr. Max!

Happy 1st Birthday!!!!

Spring

I am, along with the kiddos, enjoying this beautiful weather! I must say even though it is smaller than our older house, I'm loving our new back yard! It's perfect for us and the kiddos. Lyla is loving all her play areas!

This little boy loves the car, except he is pulling up on the door and I see him flipping out soon! How can he be pulling up already?

He's so sweet.

Love him :)

I also needed to cut Lyla's hair and this is the end product. It was quite straggly. I ended up taking almost 2 inches off. It is SHORT. I'm not sure how I feel about it. She looks cute no matter what, but this is pretty short. However, it is thicker looking and I'm hoping it fills in a bit more. And it's not in her face as much! Her hair grows pretty quick, so it won't stay this short for to long. It's cute even if she's pouting! :)

Past few days...

The kids and I went home the past 2 days and got to see Kelci and Ben and I had a few sessions! :) Oh, I'm so smitten with this little boy! Ben wanted nothing to do with sleeping or pictures that day but we managed to get just a few of him sleeping after lots and lots of snuggling! He sure loves his mommy! :) I'm going to say he really loves his auntie too because he spit up all over me and also peed all over me! ;)

Aunt Kelci and Cohen! While we were doing Ben's newborn pictures, she watched the kids which they both loved the attention!

Me and Ben - told you I was smitten! ;) I also cut my hair which I am NOT smitten about. I had a weak moment.

Grip of love :)

Oh my, love him!

It was nice to get away for a few days but now it's back to unpacking! :)

Cohen :: 7 months: ::

Between a busy photo season and moving, this little boy turned 7 months old. Really? I can't believe my little baby is 7 months. I'm having a much harder time with him getting older than I ever did with Lyla. First time mom syndrome left me excited for new milestones and wanting her to get older and do more things. 2nd time mom syndrome leaves me crying with each milestone because I don't want him to get bigger.
(Excuse the bad pictures. We got rid o the green and white polka dot chair and I haven't figured out the best spots in our house for pictures yet! Oh and I was late doing this, so I did them in a hurry this morning).

Buddy, this is you at 7 months! We love.love.love you!
- You weigh 14 lbs and are 24 3/4th inches long.
- You wear 0-3 and some 3-6 months. Sometimes we can get away with 9 month shirts but they are pretty big on you!
- You are in size 2 diaper and wear size 1 shoes.

- You sleep from around 8:30/9 to 6ish. Sometimes after you nurse you'll fall asleep for a little longer.
-You take anywhere from 2-3 naps lasting 1/2 hour to 2 hours. If you have gotten enough sleep you wake up super happy and smiley. If you nap wasn't long enough, you wake up cranky and crying.
- You are doing better with food. So far we've tried bananas, pears, applesauce, peaches, green beans, carrots and sweet potato. You love it all except the green beans and carrots!

- Your biggest milestone is still army crawling. You go.go.go. You are pretty much all over the place! You have started getting up on your hands and knees but haven't gotten any further than that.
- You like to give kisses and they are so sweet! :) Drooly but sweet!
- You still have only 4 teeth but 2 more are waiting to bust through on the top.

- You can be pretty high maintenance at times. You LOVE attention and if we don't pay attention to you, you let us know!
- You've also have become a huge mama's boy. If I leave the room you cry or if I'm around and someone else is holding you, you want me majority of the time! Especially when you are tired!
-You are the happiest first thing in the morning and the crankiest around supper time.

- You love to play pat-a-cake and peek a boo, especially with your sister. You also love when we fly you around and chase her!
- Your favorite toy right now would be any type of ball. Daddy loves balls growing up and from what I hear, had quite the collection so it looks like you are following in his footsteps.
- Still no babbling. You don't really "talk" much so I'm not surprised.

Happy 7 Months, Cohen Finn! We love you!

I know you aren't supposed to compare kiddos, but if you want to look at Lyla at 7 months, go here!

Few facts

- Cohen has been getting up on all 4's a few times today. Uh-oh...does this mean crawling is soon?
- We are 85% moved in to our new house and close tomorrow! :) Eeek!
- We have WAY to much stuff as in even though we are getting a bigger house, I have no idea where we are going to put stuff.
- My birthday is in 12 days. Who wants to buy me a puppy? :)

He's here!

And this auntie is pretty smitten! :) Between go down to meet him and packing I haven't had much time for anything, much less blogging! So for now, a few pictures and then I'll post the millions I took later! :)
Love you sweet Ben!

7 months old

This little boy is 7 months old today. Crazy!
Lyla thought we should celebrate by putting vaseline all over him. I jumped in the shower for probably 3 minutes and Lyla comes in and says come look... this is what I found.

Globs of vaseline!

Globs!

Lyla thought she was pretty funny. When I came out and saw it all I could do was laugh. What was I supposed to do? Sean was running and I was getting ready for a photo session so Cohen ended up staying like that until Sean got back and could give him a bath! Let's just say his hair is still greasy! :)

March 15, 2012

Put your left foot out!

Last night while I was feeding Cohen dinner, he kept pulling out his leg and just placing his foot on his highchair, all cool and relaxed. We were talking to him telling him how cute it was and the next thing I know...

we look at this girl and she is doing the same thing! :)

Silly kids!

Another catch up part 3

Saturday I had a wedding to shoot, so Sean got to spend all day with his kiddos. And, by the time I got home, I'm thinking he was a bit stressed out! Cohen is a HUGE momma's boy! Which is sweet...at times. Not so sweet when he is with his daddy for 9 hours! That mixed with teething and having a cold - he was a bit of high maintenance for Sean. Also, after the wedding, I got pulled over on the way home but luckily just got a warning! It was a Sheriff from here in Victoria that knew me, so I lucked out! :)
Before I left, Miss Lyla got into my deodorant and left this mess...

Monday, we went to Hays for a bunch of errands, including Cohen's 6 month appointment. He is weighing in at 14 lbs and is 24 3/4th inches long. He is such a tiny little peanut! He is in the negative 2 % for both his height and weight! Like I've said, we've got to get some chunk on this little boy! :) He also has started an antibiotic for an ongoing ( almost 12 weeks to be exact) running nose. She also told me he has his top 2 teeth trying to come through! He also tried carrots and peaches this past week. Negative on the carrots but is so so with the peaches! Absolutely loves sweet potatoes!

We also got to eat lunch with daddy! :) Highlight of our day!

After naps, we headed outside to enjoy the awesome weather! I pulled out the slide for Lyla and the swing for Cohen! We also played with some sidewalk chalk and Lyla enjoyed "painting" my toenails with it!

I've also started running again! I've been running on the elliptical for a few weeks but that is nothing compared to running outside. I am following my Couch 2 5k program again, but jumped ahead about 5 weeks and I'm proud that I was able to do it, without stopping! I'm WAY out of physical shape and I can't wait to get back into the swing of things. The 5k I'm running is in less than 5 weeks, so I've got a lot of running ahead of me! Good thing I like it!

Self pic after running...Sean had made fun of me because my face was beet red! :)

Oh, and this little boy got his first battle wound on Saturday. Sean has no idea how he got it, but he's got a little black and blue mark under his left eye! It is kinda hard to see in the picture, but it's there! He may be tiny, but he's tough! :)

As for today, we started packing up the kitchen. We found out the house we are buying appraisal came in and we are good there. We should find out what our house is appraised at tomorrow and then they send off the paper work if all is good. Then hopefully we should know if it is a go for sure by Friday or Monday at the latest. I still worry something with fall through, but Sean is pretty optimistic! Hopefully we will close in 10 days....eeek! Who wants to come pack?! :)

Another catch up part 2

Last Wednesday I headed to GB for a few days! Mom was off on Friday and I spent Wednesday and Thursday catching up on work!
Little girl crashed out in her Granna and Pop's bed. Lyla has now started calling mom Granna instead of Gigi. So she is back to Granna again! :)

It started to warm up some on Wednesday afternoon so Granna and I took the kids to the Barton Zoo! Lyla was on the search for an elephant, which the zoo didn't have. But she was happy seeing the Tigers. And they got to close to us. At one point, the white tiger even had it's face up on the glass looking at Ly.I'm hardly in pictures since I'm always taking them so my mom took some for me!

A picture of me and my babes!! I don't have to many of these! If only Lyla was looking!

Granna and her grandkids

My sweet girl. Last time we went to the Zoo she was scared of this and wouldn't sit on it! That was around a year ago!

A grip of love?? :)

Love my little boy!

We've got to get some chunk on this little boy. He keeps crawling out of his pants!

I also got to have lunch with Regina while I was back. Then Friday mom and I did a little shopping around town and ate lunch at Perks. Later that night we headed back home!

Part 3 next! :)

March 12, 2012

Another catch up... part 1.

The beginning of the week we had some awesome weather and spent most of the time outside! Sunday we went to the Home and Garden show in Russell and as we were leaving some guy gave Lyla all these balloons and she was in heaven!

A little baby wearing... Love my ergo!

Love him!! While he's been a fuss bucket lately (teething and sickness), he can be such a happy baby!

Caught him sneaking away!
He army crawled his way out of his pants! The boy has got to get some chunk on him!

She's pretty excited she gets to ride her bike...though she hasn't quite figured out the pedaling!

Dressing daddy up again!Pretty girl!

The Princess and her attire.

I got him some aviators - Adorable! We headed to the park and shades were in order!

Excited for the park! She looks so old in this picture!
Can't forget your sunnies! Love this!

Someone was super excited that Daddy joined us at the park!

And this little boy was too!
She is big into playing pretend...here she was serving us food!Part 2... a couple days in GB!
