Cohen {3 months}

Happy 3 months, little man!
First off, I can't believe you are 3 months already. Holy moly.

-You weigh around 11 1/2 lbs and is about 21 1/2 inches long.
-You wear size 1 diapers and cloth diapers.
-3 month clothing fits perfect right now and you can fit into some 3-6 month stuff.

-You sleep a good 6 1/2 hour stretch a night, normally eat and then fall right back to sleep.
-You are a horrible napper right now. Most naps last about 30 minutes, with 1, maybe 2 good 1 hour naps a day. I miss the days of 3 hour naps!
-We no longer swaddle you whenever you sleep!

-You eat about every 3 hours or so and have been taking a bottle pretty good.
-You fight sleep for your naps. With enough bouncing and patting on your tush, you'll finally fall asleep. We've also started laying you in your crib to get you fall asleep on your own at naptime. We play your musical giraffe and so far have been successful twice with getting you to sleep. A few tears and you are asleep.
- You are still pretty serious, but your smiles come easily but don't last long. Taking pictures of you smiling can be difficult.

- You rolled over for the first time today!!!! :)
- You love to play "superman" and smile so big when we hold you up. You also put your legs up and arms out behind you! So cute!
- You are a very content little boy for the most part! Your sister will crawl all over you and you really don't care!

-You love attention and love when we talk to you. You also love to coo and "talk" back to us!
- You are a cuddler, which I love! I cuddle with you much more than I did with your sister!
-Your hair is starting to become more fine, but the front of your head is starting to fill in. Also, you hair doesn't stick up as much in the back anymore... I miss that!
- You skin is slowly starting to get better. You have cradle cap really bad and a bunch of dry skin, but with lots of head and shoulder and vaseline, things are getting better!

Happy 3 month birthday, Cohen Finn! We love you SO much!!!

Like momma, like daugther... kinda.

I love this sweet girl!!! She wants to do everything mommy does...
even this! :)

"Pump, mommy?"

Birthday wishes!

Happy 26th Birthday, lil brother! You may be taller, but you are always my little brother! ;)

And in case you are wondering... it took 4 tries to get this! And I called my brother Bro since I was a little kid. So, Lyla can't say Kevin well at all, but she can say bro, so uncle Bro it is!

Happy Birthday Kiddo!

Go TIGERS!

Last week I won tickets to the FHSU men's basketball game for last night! So we got on our tiger gear (minus Cohen) and headed to the game.

Not the best family picture, but I couldn't complain to the sweet lady that offered to take it for us!

Lyla was in awe! She loves sports and loves to cheer for it! She did however call it football, so she may be a little confused! I'm sure by the end of the season, she'll figure it out!

I love her little hands. She clapped along and yelled Go without prompting from us!

My sweet boy! He did so good! :) There was even a short basketball player for FHSU so maybe Cohen has some hope! :)

We left with about 8 mins left in the game but we were ahead by around 25 or 30 points, so I'm going to bet we beat Bethany college!

Sean and I were talking and the last time we went to a FHSU game was almost 5 years ago. It was our 2nd "1st" date (for those that don't know, we broke up for almost exactly a year). And here we are 5 years later taking our 2 kiddos with us! :)

Doctor, doctor

Lyla wanted to play doctor this morning. Cohen was not impressed!

Hi, I'm doctor lyla!

How does his heart go? Ba-boom, ba-boom.

A shot in the face... probably not the best place to give those!

Your done? Thank goodness! :) I'm still alive!

These are a few little drawings that Miss Abi did for us. Well everyone except Uncle Sean! ;) Aunt Andrea is her favorite! ;) Abi- they are now hanging up in Miss Lyla's room!
In other news, the shirt Cohen has on today is a 3-6 month. I thought it was cute and wanted to see if it would fit him...and it did. He's growing so fast! It's still a tad bit big, but it isn't hanging off of him! I can't believe he'll be 3 months already on Thursday. Where in the world is time going?

Today

Today was a lazy, unmotivated type of day. Mr. Cohen believes it is much more fun to make me miserable during the night which leads to me being uber tired during the day. So we were lazy. We played blocks, read books, snuggled, nursed a million times, napped and I loved on my sweet babies. Even though I'll probably regret being lazy today, it was needed and I loved it!
These babes make me so happy! :) I could and can just eat them up!

I love them! :)

Shout out to my hubby for cleaning the house for me yesterday. I bribed him with a new PS3 game if he cleaned the whole house and he did a fabulous job! So today, I'm thankful I didn't have to do any cleaning! ;) Now if only I could bribe him with a new game every week to clean the house! ;)

Lately...

Things have been crazy busy for me, business-wise, no things at home have been pretty slow. Lots of cuddling, laughing and loving!

This little girl got this piano toy from her pops and gigi and has really gotten into playing it lately along with following the little games online!

This fella has done a lot of this... I'm thinking he's been going through a week long growth spurt as he's been pretty crabby. He's normally happy-go-lucky and lately has been pretty fussy! Along with not wanting to sleep anyplace but my arms for his naps. He had also been getting up a couple times a night which he hasn't done for a long time. Thankfully, things are getting better! :) I keep reminding me it is just a phase!

Lyla has been big into putting things in the microwave. Why? Who knows, but we randomly find things in there. I've found blocks, my phone, the remote, and other odd things in there.

I love this picture! And I love my sweet family!

Lyla got into a little cosmetic bag in the diaper bag the other day and I found her like this! She thought she was pretty cool! I keep meaning to write down things that she has been doing and I keep forgetting. She is in such a fun age right now!

And amongst his cries, we still get his sweet smiles which melt my heart! :) He loves to be talked to and if he's fussy, most of the time a little talkn' to and he'll be happy again! Loves the attention!

And that's been about it! Tonight we are headed out with friends for our friend's 30th birthday and then a super busy weekend for me!

The Happy Day Project

Does it make you feel good to do good for others? Julie at Joy's hope says it perfect -

Do something good. everyday.

(I love this saying so much, I put it on a canvas in Miss Lyla's room!)

Julie and a blog friend started The Happy Day Project which starts today! I just read about it last night, but I'm excited to jump on and participate. Not only is it good for me, it's important for me to instill things like this in Lyla and someday Cohen. I hope both my babes find the kindness in their hearts to want to help others. Not because they feel like they should... but because they genuinely want to. A lot of the time I have good intentions, but they don't always get carried through (horrible character flaw of mine). So this is something I WANT to work on! For me, my family and sweet kiddos.

Here is the schedule if you'd like to join along!

1st snow!

Last Wednesday, we had our first snow of the season. Ugh. I'm dreading this weather! This was the first time that Lyla got the concept of snow and what is was and she was pretty amazed with it. She kept looking out the window says, "Pretty snow, mommy, pretty snow." It may be pretty, but it's cold. I don't like cold. She wanted to go out in it so we captured her first time being out there and realizing what is is. Mr. Cohen also got to experience his first snow ever!

I just love this picture! I wonder what was going through her mind at this time.

Cohen's first snowfall!

I think she would have stayed out there all night admiring the snow! I, however, want nothing to do with it and would much rather be curled up on the couch with a blanket when it snows. Sean hates snow too, so looks like Lyla will be playing in the snow by herself! :) Oh, I'm sure she'll convince that dad of hers not to hate it and instead want to play in it!

Trick-or-treat 2011

Happy Halloween! This was the first year that Lyla has some idea of what was going on! She would say Trick or Treat and thank you for the candy!! She also did really well with her costume! It took forever to get her in it and also a lot of screaming on her part but I shoved her in it, bribed her with pennies and she was happy as a clam! She didn't want the body part on or the shoes parts on but she wanted the hat part on. Weird child. I would have thought it would have been opposite!

The girls came over and Lyla was ecstatic! She loves her some Abi and Avery.

All the kiddos.

Our little family!

Our little monkey! Love him! Hat and tail courtesy of Oh for the love of crochet!

Our sweet pig! I wanted Lyla to be this pig before I even knew I was having a girl. The first time I saw it, I fell in love and had to have it. Well it was originally expensive for 2 hours of use, but I found it on sale! I LOVE it!

Lyla looks scared to death! Ha!

Trick or treat, please!

Cohen's tail...loved it!

The finished pumpkins Lyla painted!

Happy Halloween!!
