Lyla {20 months}

20 months is really weird to type. That's old for Lyla. I'm not ready for this! And actually, the other day I told someone that she was 22 months. Pregnancy brain, maybe? :)
She still doesn't seem like she's almost 2! I still see her as a 1 year old!

You weigh about 22.5 lbs wearing 18 month clothes and some 12 month stuff.

You are in size 3 diapers and cloth diapers.

You sleep from 8-8 and nap for 2-2.5 hours.

You are still a great eater and will eat just about anything! You're not a big fan of meat, tho!

New words: Dee (for one of my parents dogs), Kelci, potty, poopy, pee pee are some new ones. She pretty much will repeat anything we ask. You're vocabulary is pretty good, to me at least. Other's can't always understand! You're saying new words everyday and I can't even list every word your saying. She'll also talk in some 2 words sentences, but it's mostly hi mommy, daddy, etc or bye mommy, daddy, reesie, etc.

You can match your colors and you love puzzles and books! You are constantly bringing us books and telling us more whenever you want to keep doing it. You know all your body parts and love to point out other people's. You only match monkey's to their noise they make. You'll do others but they all almost sound like oo-oo-oo!
You are in this stage where you love to pull down the top of my shirt and lay your head on my skin. You also love to show people momma's belly which isn't my favorite thing right now! You also love to kiss my belly and say hi to the baby!

You love to be outside and that is normally the only time you are a daddy's girl!

You are now in a big girl bed and have transitioned to it well!

My new favorite part of the day is when you wake up from naps and come out to the living room. You are always so excited and happy! Such a big girl!

You love sunglasses right now and also love to put things on your head!

You're favorite toys right now are your swing, water table and golf clubs!

You are generally very happy unless you're tired or hungry! Just like momma!

You are still obsessed with puppies. If you hear a puppy bark you say puppy over and over again and look around for it!
Love you sweet girl! Happy 20 months!

She's a grooving....

and a moving. She's now *finally* figuring out true crawling. She kinda looks like she has a gimpy leg whenever she gets a going but she is slowing figuring it out. She is also starting to pull herself up more and more, especially to her knees. She loves to do it in the most unsafe place too, the bath tub! I'll try to get some pics and post them but not tonight. I've fallen poor victim to a summer cold so I'm off to bed. Happy Monday!

Oh...and for my memory, not yours, I've stopped nursing. The girls have dried up and the weaning process was super easy and non-painful, which was great. I stopped one day before her 11 month birthday...so I almost made it a year! :) And she hasn't had any problems switching
to regular milk either. Here's her my baby getting big :(.

OH busy day...

These past 4 days have flown....really flown. And believe me when I tell you....I accomplished maybe 5 things on my list.

And it was a lllooooonnnnnnggggg list. Really long.

Go me.

Never-the-less, I still had a fantabulous weekend and enjoyed it all. I was busy...just not productive, make a dent in my list, get everything I want done busy.

Today we have been go, go, go with errands, doc appts, and a play date. Oh, and my daughter is turning into a bully. She pinches, bites, and hits. Grrrreat. Is there such a thing as the terrible 11 month old?

But she is cute, right? Doesn't that make it better? At least for now?

Here's a video of her new favorite thing to do!

5 Months, Baby Girl!

Happy 5 month birthday, Lyla!

- You have now found your feet and love them.

- You are getting so good at sitting up with some assistance. It won't be to long before you are sitting by yourself!

- You still love to roll over side to side but not from your back to your tummy yet.

-You now go to bed between 7 and 8 and sleep until about 7 a.m. only getting up once around 2. Mommy is so happy about this!

- You still only nap about 30 mins to an hour about 3 times a day.

- You still eat cereal at night and I think you are going to be a good eater! We are starting baby foods in about a week or two!

- You have started going to the nursery at church.

- Your favorite toy right now is pretty much anything in front of you! You are definitely entering the grabbing stage! But you really love your jumperoo! You turn into a spaz whenever you get into that thing!

- You wear 3-6 months but still fit into some 0-3 stuff.

- You still have hardly any hair on your head!

- You now sleep in your crib... in your own room!

You are becoming such an independent little girl! We love you oh.so. much, Lyla!

She smiled!!!

Omigoodness, I never thought I'd be this excited! We were hanging out this morning watching One Tree Hill that I DVR'd and she did it. And I couldn't of been more excited. I started squealing and called Sean right away but unfortunately he didn't answer. She's done it a few more times today. I love it!! It makes all her crying and not sleeping so worth it!!

So now I'm on a mission to capture it on video and camera. I wish daddy would have been able to see it when I did too, but I guess a picture will suffice.

Ok, I'm off on my mission!
