These shoes are made for walking...

I can't believe I have yet to post this. Miss Thang finally decided she wanted to take some steps the middle of last week. The most she has done is 12 but mostly she takes about 5-6 at a time.
And we are {SO} excited for her!
Now this week is finally starting to take a few steps here and there between different things and also to other objects without much bribing! We did have to bribe her last week to get her to really walk more than 1 or 2 steps. Whatever works!

Lyla and I are headed to GB for a day with the parents as they are doing a garage sale. And then we are doing a few trick or treat things around town Saturday and hanging with some friends Saturday night. And then Sunday....it's all about the candy!

Have a great weekend!

Uh-oh.

One of Lyla's favorite words.
It was super quiet in Lyla's room yesterday morning where I knew she was playing. So I went and looked at what she was doing and this is what I found.
When I asked her what she was doing, this is what I heard, "Uh-oh".
Silly girl!

Lyla's first surgery

We had to arrive at the hospital at 7:30 am. Miss Lyla was quite happy considering she wasn't allowed to eat or drink anything!!
She looks sooo big to me in this picture!

She looked so cute in her robe! And mama looks SO tired!

After the surgery. We heard her whimpering as they brought her back to us, but she never really cried at all. However, she did puke twice all over me, bless her heart and mine for that matter. She slept for about an hour and then woke up happy as can be.
Lyla had a special delivery after we got home. Her grandma and papa sent her balloons, a teddy bear, and a little pumpkin. She loved the balloons!

This hurts me to post...

because as a KU fan, you NEVER, EVER want to lose to a purple pussycat. But indeed, we lost. And KState deserved to win because we looked horrible. So horrible we left a half time... along with about 1/2 the other fans too!
However, the pregame atmosphere was awesome and one of the main things I love about football season! Also as we were leaving, I passed MarKieff Morris. That would be my 2nd "famous" KU athlete that I've seen. Except Todd Reesing takes the cake. Period. Love him. Miss him. MMMmmmm.
FYI, I didn't take the time to put these in order. The bottom ones of us smiling are all pregame...as you can probably tell by the smiles!

My other hubby

I'll post about this past weekend's game soon! Had a super fabulous time with some of our favorite people!!! Love ya Kayla!! Ok, you too Ty! :)

The first week

And I love every stinkn' second of it! Can't ya tell?

Little miss busy bee was even tuckered out Friday that she couldn't finish lunch. And that never happens for our little piglet!
I finished the week off with my favorite type of laundry. I'm gonna miss this weather soon and I'm really going to miss sunning my diaps. I will say, that I LOVE cloth diapering and that I love the fact we can do it more now that I'm home!

And I love little moments like this. Best friends.

We finished Friday with a little play time. I bought a bean bag for a photo prop so we let Ly test it out! I'm thinking she needs one!

I will say this again. I feel so incredibly {blessed} to be at home. Miss Lyla took her first steps this week and I may not have gotten the chance to see it if I wasn't at home now. Given it's the first week, but I feel like life just got a little more complete for me and that this is where I'm supposed to be. A little work, a lot of play, time with friends, and seeing monumental milestones equals one great week!
Hope yours was just as great too!

Thursday Playdate

Thursday was just overall a great day!

We had our HRC playdate with Miss Kynli and Shannon!

Lyla loved the little kitchen and spent most of her time there! She may just need some little cooking utensils added to her toys!

Lyla making her lyla face. I'm going to assume her and Kyn both wanted the same toy and Lyla lost.

The girls and their matching bows. Shannon and I had a bow date earlier in the week and so of course the girls had to show them off!

Miss Kynli, isn't she adorable!

Another of Ly's favorite toys, a stroller!

Lyla picking on Kyn. I told ya she's a bully. I have no idea why. Her temperment is very similar to someone else that I know...

A moment of sweetness from both girls!

My parents then came to town to buy new furniture for their living room. So we met them at Semelinos for lunch then headed to Ashley Furniture. I then had a photo session and the rest of the night was spent with Miss Ly!!!

Lyla {14 months}... a couple days late!

Happy 14 months, pretty girl!!!

- You weigh just under 20 lbs.
- You wear mostly 6-12 month clothes still. 9 months fit you perfect, but your fall wardrobe is mostly 12 months and so they are just a bit big.
- You are still in a size 3 diaper and are in cloth diapers about 95% of the time now.

- You still crawl all the time and have yet to take any steps.
- You pull up on everything but have yet to really find your balance.
You sleep from about 8 pm til 7:30 am with 1 nap a day, right after lunch for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

- You {love} puppies. Reese is the greatest thing to you!
- You love looking out the front or back door. Especially the back door when the dogs are all out.
- You are getting better at walking with just 1 hand.

- You are still a GREAT eater. You'll eat anything and everything!
- You can say mama, dada, uh-oh, and hi clearly. You like to mimic other things we say but we can't really make anything out.
- You are still biting and are kind of a bully! You do not like it when others take a toy away or grab something you wanted. And you especially hate it when mama gives other kiddos attention.

- You love to throw tantrums. If we tell you no or take something away, you are a full out drama queen. You have your daddy's temperament!

- When we eat supper at night, we always pray before we eat and you've just started putting your hands together to pray too.

- You love love love to give kisses.

- When we tell you to say goodbye, you now automatically blow a kiss.

- You started your first HRC class! I'm hoping the interaction with other kids you don't know will help you become a nicer little girl!

- Its become pretty impossible to get pictures of you by myself. I now need someone to help me to get you to smile! You def. know what the camera is. You even know how to work your little play camera.

-You've yet to get your molars and have 8 teeth.

-You've also started brushing your teeth by yourself and love doing it. If we are ever in the bathroom you always put right to where your toothbrush is kept.

- You still love to suck your thumb.

- You love music! Anytime you hear music, you start dancing.

- Your favorite toys would be your helicopter, any type of ball, or your laugh and learn farm house!

We love you baby girl!!!!

My lovebug

Almost a month ago, my sweet niece turned 6! I can hardly believe that she is 6 already!!! She was born when Sean and I first got together.
I got to get her from school that day and we hung out until Sean got home. Abi wanted to "babysit" Lyla and so she read to her and played and what not. We then had pizza for dinner and then presents!!! Oh to be young again!
Happy Birthday (again), Miss Abi! We love you!
A little cow tush, anyone?
2 of my 3 girls!
A little sidewalk chalk!

3D glasses!

Opening one of her presents...a little Dave Ramsey for kids, anyone?

Abi "taking" pictures with the cell phone.

Abi and Ly...Abi was "babysitting".

I love his picture.... hilarious! Abi likes to pick her up even tho Abi only weighs about 15 lbs more

Abi reading to Lyla...I think she was making this face because Lyla wasn't paying attention to her.
