I think one of the better benefits our office offers is the paid holidays! LOVE THEM! It was so nice to not have to wake up at 6 and drag myself to work (even though work is getting better :) ). The holiday weekend wasn't the greatest one I've ever had. We went to the lake this weekend but didn't have the greatest time due to the weather. It was way windy and not very enjoyable. We ended up leaving early on sunday even though we had planned to stay til the evening and Sean's parents were going to come and hang out with us. We quickly nixed that after seeing how windy it was again on Sunday. It was a fun weekend just not the best. The lake was really high and all the beaches were under water so we weren't able to sit on the beach and hang out. We tied up with 3 other boats in the middle of the lake but the current was so strong we quickly found ourselves up on shore. So Sean and I came back sunday morning and hung out with his parents at their house while I did my favorite thing ever -- take a nap!!
So today I find myself working on some pictures and hopefully cleaning the basement. We think we have mold - great! Hope everyone had a great Labor day!
P.S. I can't believe it's Sept. already. Less than 4 months til' Christmas!

Another weekend roundup
I can happily say that I was a cleaning machine this weekend! My craft room is finally starting to be organized and I heart it!!!! I took before pics so I'll try to post those soon and then when it's all finished I will post after ones! I worked hard on this room this weekend. I got rid of a ton of stuff and bought a few new things - oops! :) I got new organizers for my scrapbooking stuff and a ton of new clear plastic boxes for other things in the room that I wanted to put away in the closet in an organized fashion! I also got a DYMO label printer and must say I'm in love! All my drawers and tubs are nicely organized and look fantastic! My father in law also came over and helped the hubby put up a ceiling fan in our bedroom and then a light fixture in my office! My bedroom looks great and all is left is a few decor items and then crown molding! OH, and maybe some new bedding :) This almost 100-yr-old house is finally starting to come together and be a "HOME" for Sean and I. All we have left is molding in the hallway, making a new laundry room, and finishing the basement so Sean can have a "man" room! Or a Jayhawk Shrine as I would call it. But this means all his video games are going to the basement! I'm also going to re-do my bathroom - again! I painted it once but not really loving it so I'm going for a 2nd try. And this time we are upgrading the fixtures, too. Way excited. I'm going to try and recruit my friend Becca to join me in the awesomeness that is re-decorating. She's gonna love it (I hope!)
As for the rest of the weekend, we also had our nieces' dedication at church today. So Sean's family got together and we had a nice lunch after church. I'm very blessed to have such a great 2nd family.
Well, it's time for me to get my daily beauty sleep! Night ya'll!

The beginning of the weekend
Well this week was kinda crazy so I'm happy to finally have the weekend here! Thursday and Friday were "hell days" at work. So the weekend was very much needed! I'm actually in Great Bend now for the weekend. Came up last night and I was supposed to go to Hutch today with my parents but I was to tired and wanted to sleep in. But because I love sleep so much I missed a day shopping at Hobby Lobby and Target - stupid me! My parents are at Lowe's finishing up the plans for their new kitchen as we speak and should be headed back to GB soon so we can get to fixing things up around their house. My parents have been begging for me to come back and help and I finally had a free weekend. Sean is off to see his beloved KU basketball player Mario Chambers at the Mall in Hays for a autograph signing. You have to buy this KU book and then Mario will sign it along with one other thing. Even though Sean won't admit it, he's really excited! Now if only Toddy Reesing was doing the signing and I'd be the first one in line... mmmm Hottness!! :) We finally received our season tickets in the mail a week or two ago and so we are very much looking forward to some games. I love going to the games, just hate paying for the weekend when we are there. We always seem to spend way to much money!!! We'll I should probably get ready for the day! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

It's been a while...
So time for a update! Over the weekend, Victoria had it's annual Herzogfest! This year they had country singer Ty Herndon sing on Friday. Unfortunately I drank a tad bit much and can't really remember much of the concert. I remember him singing but I couldn't tell you if it was good or not, though it most likely was! Sean and I had a great time hanging out with our friends and just enjoying the night. Everyone that knows me knows I don't drink very often. But when I do -- watch out! My friend Meagan & I went up to the front of the stage with me during the concert and we had a blast taking pictures with Ty! My office manager from work come over to Victoria and actually had a cop come up to me while I was up in front at the stage and take me out of the crowd and then pointed her out to me. I about sh*t my pants! I thought I was in trouble but good ol' Kelly just wanted to play a joke on me! Props to her, she did a good job! All I have to say is I have a very patient husband when I drink because I was outta control! Good thing he loves me :)! Other than that, I spent Saturday hungover and remember again why I don't like to drink. Saturday night was pretty subdue as we just hungout again at Herzog but this time without alcohol! They had a fireworks display that was good and then Sean and I headed home. Herzog is only a block from our house, so it was a short walk! Sunday I had a photography session with a family and we had a good shoot! We played in the water and got wet, but it was fun! They pictures turned out pretty cute, too! Not to much else. Our plans are undecided for this weekend. Might head out to the lake on Saturday or I might head to GB and help out the parents on the house and see some friends!
We'll Sean and I are headed on a bike ride! Peace ya'll!

A crazy moment...
is what I had last night :) Normally I'm not much of a complainer but after enough frustration I needed to vent! It kinda makes me laugh now :) I'm grateful for my life and really shouldn't complain. I know I have more than some and I'm very lucky to be in the place I am now! Anywho... I was really frustrated last night because I saw a million grammar mistakes in that post! O well, frustration and late night venting doesn't add up to much! Not much new in my world right now. Slowly progressing with my homework and would like to get a few baby items sewn for one of our doctor's whose wife is having her baby tomorrow. I also have a family session wednesday evening and looking forward to that... but that's about it! Nothing exciting!

I'm tired
I think this post is going to turn into a vent. Get ready.
1. I really am tired. I have so much to do, so many hobbies, so many commitments that I'm just tired. I love having stuff to do, love having hobbies, and love having commitments but I'm tired. I should not complain about this because I'd rather be busy then a couch potato. Sean and I have been on the run for about 2 months now. We go to the lake just about every weekend we are free and while I love going, it's a LOT of work. Between packing, unloading, reloading, and unpacking, it becomes more work then fun sometimes. But we've made so many friendships and so many memories I wouldn't change it. It's something we enjoy doing together but still... it's a lot of work! We've gone on vacation, which was awesome, but when we got home we had laundry and we had to clean and we didn't get to relax. We finally had a weekend home and it was so nice to get semi-caught up on things but I'm still not caught up. Maybe 45% but that would be pushing it.
2. I'm really tired of not feeling appreciated. This goes with many aspects of my life. Sean makes me feel appreciated on most days but lately I haven't done much for him to appreciate. I'm tired of doing things for people, helping them out and not receiving any appreciation for it. I don't EXPECT it but it would be nice every now and then. I normally wouldn't care b/c I'm doing things for people I care about, but recently it's gotten worse. Maybe I need to stop being helpful. But I can't, because that's not me. I wouldn't be who I am if I wasn't helpful, if I didn't go over the top to help, and I wouldn't feel good about myself if I didn't do these things. I don't other's aren't like me, but if they aren't going to be helpful can't they at least thank the person that is? I think most of the world has come to expect things and take things for granted instead of appreciating things. I also don't appreciate people putting others or myself down in order to make them feel better about themselves. Why can't people be nice? Plain and simple - worry about your self- NOT OTHERS!
Ok that's it. Enjoy? I'm off to may some to-do list ( my fav!)
Good night folks.

So tired...
I don't think my life has slowed down once in the past 3 weeks. I'm starting to feel the effects! I also can't believe it's been almost 2 weeks since I've blogged. So let's get started.
As you probably read or already knew, Sean and I headed to Charleston, SC for a 1 year anniversary vacation. It was SO great to get away for a while, but we were ready to come back. We stayed with Sean's good friend Jonathan and overtook this apartment for the week. He was probably ready to see us leave! Anywho, the flight down was good without a problem! We got there and guess what we did first?!?!? If you know me well enough, then you know I went shopping. They had an awesome outlet mall there and while I shopped my heart out, the boys just kinda wondered around! But guess what.... they had a Coach store! I was so excited and pretty much spent all my money there. I got a new black purse, a collar for Reese (she LOVES it) and a new wallet to match my new purse! I was in heaven in that store and only wished I had more money. So that was the highlight of trip - for me of course. The next day we took a boat tour to Ft. Sumter. Jonathan's daughter Campbell came with us and kept me entertained while the boys looked at history stuff. I'm not much of the history buff, but the boys seemed to think it was interesting. Jonathan's daughter is absolutely ADORABLE. She calls me Princess Andi (fitting isn't it?) ever since my wedding day when I was all dressed up! And I happen to love it! I think Sean should call me that... :) (Not gonna happen though!) The next day it rained and we didn't do much. Sean's cousin Sonya lives in NC and drove down with a friend and her fiance and spend Friday thru Sunday with us. Friday night we ventured into downtown Charleston and sampled the nightlife! We went to a bar called Wet Willies! It has all slush drinks made with grain alcohol that were SO good. Things were def. a little fuzzy after we left that bar! Saturday we went the beach! LOVE the beach! We had a good time jumping waves and pretty much acting like we were 12 again! It was awesome. The beach alone made me want to go back to Victoria, pack all my belongs and move right onto the beach. Now if only I had 5+ million to buy me a house on the beach! Sunday we ventured downtown again and walked what seemed to be 100 miles all around the city! It was so much fun but very tiring! And on Monday we hung out by the pool, the boys played some golf and then we went and grabbed supper. Nothing to exciting but it was a nice finish to our vacation! Overall, it was a great trip and I'm glad I got to visit another part of the US I've never been!
This weekend we had the honor of helping my parents move to their new house. Not really exciting but I do have exciting news about who is moving into my parents old house. The "rumor" in GB is that it's Blake Shelton's (the country singer) ex-wife that is moving in! How crazy huh?
We'll I'm gonna be busy this week with some photography! I have an engagement shoot tomorrow and then a baby session with my friend Becca's son Eli! Can't wait!

And we're off...
Just a quick goodbye as we get ready to leave for our trip! I'm so excited to get out of KS and visit a place I've never been before! And I'm sure Sean's way excited to see his best friend/lover that he hasn't seen since March. There's a coach outlet and the beach there and that's all I need for the week! Hope everyone has a great time in KS - Hope Big Bertha doesn't give us any problems on the east coast!
Peace!

We made it!
Today is Sean and I's 1st anniversary! This past year has gone so fast, that I can't even believe it's our 1 year already. We don't have much in store, just dinner tonight because we leave for South Carolina in 2 days! So we have some packing to finish up and other little things. But I'm very much looking forward to Gella's tonight, Sean's favorite place to eat. I also might be prancing around in my wedding dress here later tonight!!! :)
As for some catching up, we spent the wk.end at Lake Wilson with some friends and had an awesome time! We got burnt once again and are paying for it now, but it was a blast! Very very hott! I need to load some pictures to my computer and once i do I will post some. But I'm sure that'll be after our trip, which by the way I am VERY ready to leave for.... Goodbye KS for a week!
Here's to many many more years of being married!

Today's my friday!
TGIF on a thursday! Love it! I don't have to work tomorrow as I'm heading to GB to help the family pack up the house. To those that care, my parents have sold their house and are moving into town. They found a charming fixer upper with lots of potential and will soon be "flipping" it. They close July 7 on both houses. I know they have been wanting to downsize some so I think 80 acres to 1 is definitely downsizing :)! I'm excited to help pick out stuff for their new house - shopping!!!! :) Let's see... this week has been very LONG! Work has sucked making the week drag even longer. Sean went and played some golf today - he's really gotten into in lately and I'm happy for him! I like seeing him doing things he loves and doing things that make him happy! I just can't see playing golf outside for a couple hours when it's like a million degree's outside! Oh a happy note - we celebrate our 1 year anniversary in like 11 days, I think! I can't believe how fast it has gone! I'm so excited for our cake, too! I never got a piece of it except for when we feed each other! Then 2 days after our anniversary we are headed to Charleston, SC for a week long and very needed vacation! One thing Sean and I love to do is travel so I'm so excited to visit a place I've never been! On a bigger note, those that know me well know I'm not much a meat person and actually quite eating all red meat for a lot of year. When I met Sean and I started eating hamburger and now I've found a liking for steak! I can't believe it! It's probably been 12+ years since I've had a steak. I tried a friend's at the lake last weekend and thought it was really good ( Good job Chef Ruppe ) and so Sean made them Monday night for supper and we are having them again tonight! CRAZY!
Alright, that's all the excitement in the Rodger household tonight! I'm going to clean up my craft room, eat and go to bed. If I'm feeling vigorous I might even go for a walk. But I wouldn't hold your breath on that one! Goodnight!
