Our Easter - 2013

 I didn't get the chance to edit any of these pictures but I figured if I waited until I had time to do that I would never get the chance to blog it. 

The Easter bunny came and both the kids were spoiled! Lyla was extremely spoiled by getting the bike. The Easter bunny has no plans to spoil them this much in the future! But Miss Lyla needed a new bike and it was good timing. She was SUPER excited, but I think a bit intimidated by the bigger bike. If the Easter bunny would have given Cohen a basket full of balls, he would have been just as excited!

We headed to Milberger for church with Sean's family and then we headed to Nana's for lunch. Delicious! 

We then had our annual Easter egg hunt and the kiddos loved them! Cohen really didn't have much of an idea but he still had fun!

We then headed out to my parents and had an Easter egg hunt there and this time Cohen had a little better idea of what to do!

Baby Jay 3.0 - First appointment and randoms

My first appt was March 15th. I was 10 weeks! Besides medical info, we tried to hear the hear beat and after forever (or at least what it felt like) we found it! It was 175 and nice and strong! :) I was a nervous wreck and had started crying (which I have done TONS of this pregnancy). But things are good! 

On to the crying part - I have been crying at the weirdest things. For example, I have never really watched the show but with being so sick and on the couch I had watched just about everything on TV. Anyways, I would cry every time someone made it through to the next round. Literally every single time. And it wasn't just a few tears, it was the ugly cry face, sobbing to where Sean would laugh at me every time. Also, I've cried at the new show Splash. Again, ugly cry face. Along with those, people have been posting inspirational sport stories on Facebook and I have bawled at just about everyone of those as well. I like to call my some an emotional hot mess! :) 

Also, a little shout out to Sean. He has been amazing this pregnancy taking care of the house and kids every night after work! He's pretty great - most of the time! :)

Lyla is also VERY excited to be a big sister! It changes daily, but for the the most part we get a brother AND a sister. This better not happen as this is for sure the last time I'm pregnant! Cohen has no clue what is about to rock his world.

All about Baby Jay 3.0 - so far

 So I found out I was pregnant on Feb 5th. I had dropped Lyla and her friend off at preschool and ran to Dillons to get a test. I just got a cheap one and went home to take it. Within minutes of getting home I had already taken it (I'm NOT patient) and tried distracting myself for a few minutes. When I went to check it, OMG was all that came out of my mouth. I had this feeling I was pregnant but didn't know if it would  actually come true. A lot more of OMG's later and panic kinda set in. Don't get me wrong, I was super excited but also super super surprised. I quickly went online and tried to guesstimate a due date which I was guessing at around Oct 21st. My body is way wonky so I really didn't have a true idea. 

My next thing was to decide how to tell Sean. I knew he was going to freak and I really wanted to get it on video but wasn't able to! But it was funny! :) I always knew that I wanted 3 or 4 kids but Sean was very content on 2 so I knew this was going to shock him! :) Especially since we weren't trying! 

This is how I ended up telling him. We have nick named all of our babies - Baby Jay - so this baby is of course no different. 

When Sean finally got home (which felt like it took forever) I had the chalkboard set up right where he would be able to see it when he walked in but of course he didn't see it. He then gave me a hug and asked me why I was so smiley.  I then pointed to the chalkboard. It took him a second but then looked at me and then the board again and was like No, No, really? No, now way? Seriously. Then I think he began to have a small panic attack! We were both laughing in between Sean breathing like he was already in labor. With that said, he was super happy but yes,very shocked and surprised!

Since I wasn't sure of the due date I had called my clinic and they wanted me to get my blood drawn to see what my HCG levels were. It wasn't until a few days later that I finally got in to get them done. 2 days later I got the results and they were at 50,000 which would have put me between 5-7 weeks. I was thinking I was only 4 weeks and once I told the nurse that and also how sick I had already become she mentioned twins. Eeek!  So she ordered an ultrasound for us. On the  Feb 19th we went and found out just 1 little baby was making me miserable! They also told us that was 6 weeks and 6 days along with the due date of 10.9. Baby Jay 3.0s heartbeat was 122 as well! Everything looked great!

Since then, it has been a whole lot of sickness for me.This by far as been the worst pregnancy so far. On top of morning sickness, I have had just about every pregnancy symptom in the book. I also got the respiratory flu which then turned into a sinus infection (that is still lingering along) and also a UTI on top of that. Plus to make everything more fun - Lyla and Cohen were sick on and off all of Feb and March as well making it the longest 8 weeks ever. 

But things are starting to be better. I have a few good days then a few bad days, but I'm thankful the bad days are not everyday anymore. Now I'm not so patiently waiting to find out whether a baby boy or girl will be completely our family! My gut says girl but it changes about everyday. Only about 6 1/2 weeks to go! :)

Once upon a time...

I blogged a lot and didn't take an almost 3 month hiatus! Nov 8th was my last blog post! Holy moly! Unfortunately there is no good excuse except that I was uber busy. I didn't have much time to do anything that didn't involve kids or photography and sometimes, those things didn't get my full attention. I've made it my 2013 resolution to cut back and relax and so far, so good. Though I'm still way busy, it is nice to breathe or take days off. Something I don't think I did from October to December!

But life is good. The kids are great and we are blessed! The holidays were wonderful and the kids got way spoiled! But spending time with family is always great!

Lyla is doing amazing in school and really loves it! She's learned so much and we are blessed for her to have such a great teacher! She has her first boyfriend - Cooper Jay who just so happens to be the teachers son. From what the teacher has told me, Lyla likes to tell him at least once a day that Cooper is her boyfriend. She's just making it known!  Lyla loves to sing and sings LOUD :). She also talks non-stop but I wouldn't change it for the world.  She's doing great in dance too and will have her first recital in May!  This previous dancers heart is bursting with pride and I can't wait to watch her! She loves being a big sister and requests a baby brother often, but we shall see on that one. She's been potty trained for a year now but for some reason this fall she regressed with going dry through the night! Other than that, she is happy and healthy and we couldn't be more blessed.

Cohen, on the other hand, has been a sick little boy. In December, he had tubes put in and had his adenoids out and has been doing much better since then. Even finally say a few words. His first being, "mine". He also says please and fish along with mama and dada. Sometimes he will say ball and you'll hear No out of him at times too! We also call him our little terror as he can be an ornery little thing. He may not weigh a lot (finally hit 19 lbs) but he can make a disaster out of nothing! He also loves to whine when he doesn't get his way and has been known to bite his sister a time or two. He is also our climber and loves to climb the kitchen table. Which he normally does no less than 25 times a day...and I'm not even exaggerating. If he can climb it, he will surely try! His climbing abilities also got him to the top of our swing set where he then managed to fall off of. He's tough and was just fine, but he is really going to give us a run for our money! :) If you ask him what sound Cohen makes, you will get a growling sound. And if you ask to see his muscles, he will show you and also make his tough face!  He can also moo like a cow, quack like a duck and oink like a pig. He is very much loved though!

Sean is doing well with his knee. He's finally able to do a little more with it and next week can finally start jogging again.  I'm good but busy and tired most of the time. My photography is going great and I've been way busier than I would have thought!  Everyone, besides Sean, has been sick and we are all finally getting better. Lyla had it the worst it seems and was sick time after time. Hopefully spring will be upon us soon and we won't have to deal with germs anymore.

Well that should catch us up some. Hopefully we will get caught up with pictures soon! And maybe I'll blog regularly again! :)

A night out

 The night before Cohen's birthday party and Sean's mud run, good friends of ours were celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary so we had a little night out on the town. Except the town is Victoria and there really isn't anything to do! But receptions are fun! :) The downside - open bar. The big downside - open bar plus by baby boys first birthday party the next day.

 Let's just say that I don't recall anything from here on! Oi vey, but it was fun - from what I'm told! :)

 When I drink - I'm totally the life of the party! P.s. I make an awesome Indian.

 And I hit a wall around midnight and good ol' Sean got to pretty much carry me home from there! :) He just LOVES to take care of me when I've drank a few to many! :) 

The next morning was ROUGH. Really rough.  But I managed. We had Sean's mud run in the morning and my parents met us there with the kiddos.  Kevin, Kelci and Ben also met us there as Kevin was running it too.  Sean's friend from high school friend, Carrie, was also there as she ran with the boys!

 And about a second later this is where Sean slid in the mud and tore his ACL!

 There goes Kevin - See Sean in the mud? This is just prior to him then getting trampled! Poor guy!

After getting quickly checked out by the EMS we made it to the finish to watch Kevin finish as Sean sat by the car! Quite the race for Sean! He now says his mud run races are over!!

A random day

 Sometime in October, Miss Avery stayed with us for a bit. The girls either love each other or they love to bicker.

 Total rock star. This picture cracks me up!

 A favorite of my kiddos is when I pull Cohen's mattress out and they get to jump all over it! They love it! And it keeps them preoccupied for more than 5 minutes!

 Apparently, this day, our ottoman was a stage. And for the record, I must of been super nice, because Lyla never gets the chance to climb on the furniture.

Baby shower

 I think I mentioned once that I'm going to be an Aunt again come December!  Sean's sister and brother-in-law will be having a little boy! :)  They already have their 2 girls so they are super excited for a sweet boy! Though, if he is anything like his cousin Cohen, he's gonna be a handful! :) 

I didn't do a true theme but instead just did colors of orange, turquoise and green. And of course some chevron! I made (with the help of Sonya!) a banner and loved how it turned out!

 We also made a motorcycle diaper cake and and it turned out so cute! Thanks Pinterest!

 I just did little foods and cupcakes! We had hummus and pita chips, corn salsa, and fruit kabobs.

That's about all I got for pictures, though. Throwing a shower and being the photographer wasn't the easiest!  Renee got lots of cute things and lots of practical things, though! :) Now, the little man, just needs to come! :) Aunt Andrea is super excited to meet you! :)

More Halloween tricks

The week before Halloween, the kiddos painted some pumpkins. Or colored them with crayons for Cohen.  Him and paint would not mix. Lyla likes to paint every ounce of whatever it is that she is painting so her pumpkin turned out black! (As did her pumpkin from preschool!)

 Cute halloween shirts and lots of hugs! :) Haha. This makes me laugh!

  The Monday before Halloween, we carved our pumpkins. We kept it to simple faces this year.  Lyla enjoyed getting all the guts out of the pumpkins with me while Daddy carved. And Cohen make ruckus all around the house! :) Ha!

 I love her! And for the record, she would have done all of this naked but I insisted she at least put on pants. She loves to be naked! (Random fact: Almost every night she takes off her pants and undies whenever she is sleeping).

 The Tuesday before Halloween, Lyla had a fall party at school! They got to paint pumpkins, play pumpkin bowling and also a jack-o-lantern water game! She had so much fun! I got to come and help the class and enjoyed it so! I've waited a long time to be able to do this and love the fact that I get to stay home with my kiddos to do all of this and not miss out! Makes me super happy!
