Week 6

6 weeks today! I found out 1 week and 1 day ago! So, so exciting! Still feeling great, just a smidge tired and hungry. Here's my first belly pic. I feel so much bigger already than I did with my 6 week belly pic with Lyla. I'm even 13 lbs less and I feel bigger. Ugh.

This is the best I can do for pictures. This mirror hangs in our bathroom but kinda sticks out in the middle giving my head a beautiful deformed look! Ha!

The date on the picture is wrong. It should be the 14th

And me at 6 weeks with Lyla.

Surprises

Sometimes, life just surprises you. In a big way.

One of the biggest surprises to happen to me
today.

This happened.

That turned into this:

We are so overjoyed, excited, estatic, etc. We truely couldn't be happier.

Sleigh Ride

Here's a few pics from our ride last night. We really didn't take many and what we did, ended up blurry...hmmmm, Sean Rodger?

We got to enjoy hot chocolate and cookies when we got back.

Sean and Ly on the ride. It was cold. Like friggin' cold. Next time, I will wear a face mask and 19 pairs of socks. No joke, folks.
Our ride! Lyla wasn't so sure of the horses. Actually she wasn't so sure of the whole thing.

We will def. do it again. Just next time we'll have quite a few more layers on!

this is all i got...

Nothing special and no pics! Boring? Yes. But roll with it.

A good, simple family weekend this weekend. For the first time in the last 3 months, I was actually home on the weekend and my days were not flooded with photo sessions. Sure, I had 1 or 2, but nothing like the 6 or 7 I was doing in the fall. Busy season, has ended.

We spent most of the weekend doing a little deep cleaning. We needed to clear this house of "stuff" and some of that we did. Not a lot, but some. My 60 day house clean is in epic fail mode right now, so I'd like to get a working on that again soon. This cute little girl likes to trail behind me and mess up whatever I've done! :)

Today I went to church in what seems like forever. Then lunch with my 2 favorites, a quick nap and then 2 mini photo sessions with some ubber cute kids. Then I met my 2 favs again for supper and then we went on a sleigh ride. More of that to come, sometime.

And that was our weekend! :) Tada!

FrostFest 2010

Warning: Picture overload!

This past Sunday Sean and I attended Frostfest in Hays for the first time. We went with our friends, the Schneider's. We started down at the Library where the kiddos made gingerbread houses. Actually, I think the guys enjoyed this more than anyone else! They channeled their inner child!
Our group!
Jeff and Kynli

Shannon and Landon
Sean "helping" Lyla!
Our family! :)
Jeff showing off what "Kynli" made.

Sean and Ly with her house!
Then it was off to see Santa which turned out to be an epic FAIL for Lyla. They had a bunch of people dressed in character costumes and they freaked Lyla out. So by the time she saw Santa, she wanted nothing to do with him.

The girls. They've started giving hugs and this is how they do it. Too sweet!
Santa and Kynli
Then we headed down to watch the parade. It was stinkn' cold, folks. Like freezing.

Lyla all bundled up!
Shannon and I freezing our tushes off!

Sean and Ly watching the parade.

The end! After that we enjoyed some homemade potato soup that Shannon made. Delish! Thanks for a good night, Schneider clan!

Old McDonald had a farm...

Lyla loves her little Laugh & Learn Farm. It's probably one of the best toys we have for her. It plays a million songs and makes a ton of animal sounds.

However, the only animal sound Lyla will do is the sound for a Monkey.

So yes, I know Old McDonald didn't have monkeys on his farm, but hey it's an animal! :) And she's so cute when when she makes the noise.
We are working on all the other sounds, but so far, all she likes is the monkey! :) If we had a video camera I would take a video of it, except our video camera broke. Nice....

Another reason she loves this farm, is with all the sounds and songs, she can dance over and over again and well this girl {loves} to dance!
How sweet is she?!?

Lyla and her daddy!

Honestly, Lyla is a TOTAL mama's girl. There is no denying that. But every once in a while, she hearts her daddy too! :) One thing they do together recently has been going outside after Sean gets off work to feed the pups. Well she loves puppies, so she's always excited to go outside. Since it was so cold, we bundled her up with her new hat and gloves and off she went!

She is sooooo cute! And the way she waddles when she is all bundled is quite adorable too!
Now when Sean goes outside, Lyla wants to go too! This is just a sweet memory of Lyla and her daddy! :) Memories...

Ho{HO}Ho

The tree is up! Actually it was up on Monday, but this post is a bit late!

There may or may not have been an argument when it came to putting on the lights. More lights= great. Someone didn't see eye to eye with that one on me. But don't worry, I won! ;)
Lyla was a big help....at getting into everything! But she has done really well leaving the tree alone since.

Sean and I both have different opinions on Christmas trees. I for one, can not wait until we have a bigger house that we can have 2 trees. I like colorful, modern, crazy trees while Sean like the traditional ones. This battle I did not win. Well, I kinda won since Lyla's tree is a crazy fun tree...But I don't have a picture of that yet.

Um, again. She looks like a boy! Oi!

And that was the night. Sean had put up the lights outside a few weeks ago, so we are set! Ho, Ho, Ho. Today we are doing the Hays Frostfest parade. Only 20 days til Christmas!

Go Steelers, Boo Chiefs!

Us girls know class, sophistication, and well, the best dang NFL team out there!
And we look adorable showing off our spirit!

The girl also knows which team is gross, dispicable, and just plain blah.
Good thing she takes after her mother is this department!

{GO} Steelers!!!

Embrace the camera

{Love her}
I could kiss those cheeks every.single.day.

In other news, Lyla had her 15 month appointment today. She weighed 20 lbs 8 oz, gaining 2 lbs since her 1 year check. She also grew 2 inches too. She's still my teeny tiny, short, big noggin girl! :) And I love that! Unfortunately, we had shots...ugh. We also addressed her habit of biting. The doc said she's grow out of it soon and that I'm addressing it in the right way. But still, I'm ready for her to stop.now! But other than that, she's doing great and hitting all her milestones!
Lyla and I also attended another MOM's club meeting and we joined today! It's a great group of mom's with some fun play date's so I'm excited!
And lastly, I'm crazy. Why, ya wondered? I signed up for another 5K with my friend Shannon. Yay for me/us...except I haven't ran since my last 5K about 7 weeks ago. Oi, what was I thinking? But it benefits the girl scouts and well....hello, cookies! I'm game! :)
This week is flying by and I have lots to blog about with more adorable pictures! One of these days, I'll get there! And if you came from Emily's blog, welcome! :) Have a great day!
