Time change

Oh my, I'm tired. I was super excited for a lot of sleep last night but I'm exhausted right now!

So this is quick, but Happy Anniversary to my brother and SIL! Hope you guys had a wonderful first year and that the 2nd year is even better!! Yay for babies!

Good Morning

This little girl followed the Daylight Savings Time rules and I couldn't be happier! She slept til 8 new time and that meant this mama got 11 hours of sleep....HEAVEN!

After the day Sean and I had yesterday, we needed sleep!
Do you remember this outfit? It actually used to be a dress for her and now it's an adorable shirt! I love it with the little jeans!

Daddy and her are headed off to church while mama heads to work for a bit. I'm taking next week off so I have 13 sessions between today and Saturday! Yikes!

While I was redoing her room, she did a good job of keep herself preoccupied. Her favorite thing...her books. She's really gotten into books lately. When she wakes up from her naps, she points right to her bookcase and we read another book.

If this girl becomes a basketball player like her daddy hopes and dreams...think she'll wear a tutu when she does it to please her mom?

Overall, she's a great helper. Great at making a mess where I just cleaned, that is! :) If you give her a rag though, she does love to wipe things off. Looks like one of her chores will be dusting! :)

Um, Oh my!

What a mess! This is everything in Lyla's closet! I completely took EVERYTHING out and started all over.

And her room looks amazing! Probably better than when we first got it ready for her!!! It feels good to get rid of stuff we just had sitting around. I {heart} organizing!!!

Random

I'm tired, folks. Like really tired. I'm dreading winter. All I want to do is buy a snuggie and not get off the couch. Ugh. We bought a new space heater because our house is a warm 62 degrees in the morning. And this space heater is seriously my new bff.

So, since I'm to lazy to post pics here's a few randoms.

- I went to my first MOM's club meeting with my friend Shannon today. I'm kinda excited about this. We are going to a girls night out at the end of Nov, which will be nice. And they have a coupon get together, craft days (yay), play dates galore.

- I started a 60 day declutter/deep clean on Nov 1st. With working 2 jobs, this house got put on the back burner big time. All the nitty and gritty stuff never got done. So I typed up a 4 page list and got started. I'm thinking a room every week or week and a 1/2. I started in Lyla's room this week and made a TON of improvements. I went through all her clothes, organized under her crib, cleaned baseboards, etc. Tomorrow I'm working on her closet. Everything is coming out and not everything is going back in. Oh, and I also went through her toys in preparation for Christmas. All her itty bitty toys got packed a way for when there is a Baby Jay #2 and others got donated.

- Christmas is in 50 days. I started a week ago and will be purchasing a few things tomorrow. I need to make another list of Christmas things so I can be prepared for my mom and I's annual shopping trip. Yay!

- I love lists. Like really really {heart} lists. Daily, I make lists.

- I need to start working out again. I haven't done much since my last 5K and need to get on it. My ultimate idea would to get up before Lyla and work out but Sean tried waking me up a few days this week and well, that didn't go over so well.

We started a new class at the HRC this week. I think it is called Funny Finger Tickly Toes or something like that. I like this class better as it is more structured than the one we just did. Yesterday we played with trucks and cards, learned the sign for more and please (which Lyla won't do), played in a sandbox with trucks, and did an art project.

This is proudly hanging on the fridge! I'm such a proud mom! It's her first official art project!

{Halloween} Part 2

After we met up at the Schneider's, we headed to 2 different trunk or treat events. It was our first time doing it and it was fun. You just walk to different trunks and they give you candy, easy peasy. Lyla really didn't have any clue what was going on but it was still fun.

The first one we went to was at a church and they also had blow up equipment for the kids to play with. Kyn and Ly were to young for most of it, but they enjoyed jumping on some of it. After that we headed to the other trunk or treat at our local rec. We were in and out in about 5 minutes I think. But Lyla got lots of goodies that she can't wait to share with her mommy and daddy! :) Mmm...Reese's!

{Halloween} Part 1

I can hardly believe that Halloween has come and gone! And this Halloween was a fun one!! Lyla was such a great sport and kept her costume on the whole time...without a fight!! I was pretty happy with that one! She was a little white tiger cub. And a super cute one at that.

Saturday we headed to Hays to do a Trunk and Treat with some friends of ours and then we BBQ'd with them afterwards. Lyla had no clue really what was going on but it was still a fun experience.

I can't believe I have yet to post this. Miss Thang finally decided she wanted to take some steps the middle of last week. The most she has done is 12 but mostly she takes about 5-6 at a time.

And we are {SO} excited for her!

Now this week is finally starting to take a few steps here and there between different things and also to other objects without much bribing! We did have to bribe her last week to get her to really walk more than 1 or 2 steps. Whatever works!

Lyla and I are headed to GB for a day with the parents as they are doing a garage sale. And then we are doing a few trick or treat things around town Saturday and hanging with some friends Saturday night. And then Sunday....it's all about the candy!

It was super quiet in Lyla's room yesterday morning where I knew she was playing. So I went and looked at what she was doing and this is what I found.

When I asked her what she was doing, this is what I heard, "Uh-oh".
