Yoder Trip

A while back, we headed to Yoder, KS with Sean's family. We ate at The Crossing and visited "The Farm", a farmstead ran by an Amish family. The food was really good at the restaurant except......Sean ordered fish and it literally came out on the plate as a whole fish minus the head. It's like they chopped the head off and dipped it in batter and fried it up. That was totally disgusting but the rest was really good!

The Farm was a really interesting place. They had a bunch of different farm animals that we got to visit. Lyla even went on her first pony ride! :) And loved it. Pops...I think she needs a horse now!

The most interesting part of it was the fact they had no air conditioning or electricity. Not really my idea of fun but it was interesting to see another way of life. Especially when we are so used to those necessities, to us at least. I couldn't fathom not have my cell phone or computer or Internet or the TV. Overall, it was a great experience to see how another culture/religion live, especially since it is so different from our daily life.

Enjoy the pics!
