P is for Puking

Yes, I know gross. But it's becoming a ritual now every morning. Why it has started now and not a couple weeks ago, who knows. Anyways I'm stuck with it and hoping it doesn't last to long. I love it when friends like to tell horror stories about their pregnancies to freak me out. Like one that puked the entire 9 months.

I know I "asked" for pregnancy symptoms but now that I have them they can go. I just wanted to experience them. I've had my fun. Thanks a bunch for pointing that out to me Becca!

Headaches still surround me everyday, though today it has probably been the best its been in a while. I didn't have one this morning and it's not bothering me too bad tonight.

Oh, I should mention I'm in Great Bend for the weekend. Came home to see the good ol' fam. Oh and maybe, just maybe I'm came home so my mom would make some food I requested. Maybe.

Sean is probably sitting at home wishing he was with me right now. He possibly could be crying because he misses me so bad and eating a bowl of ice cream because it makes him feel better.

Or

He's actually at poker night with the guys and having more fun without his wife that falls asleep at 8:30 every night. But he misses me... right? :)

Well I'm headed to see my favorite Great Bend girl in a few and just thought I'd do some blogging!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!!

A boring night...

I thought I'd blog real quick...

before I fall asleep.

Today's been a crazy day. I think my hormones are making me crazy. They are trying to get the best of me and its working. I've had a headache the ENTIRE day.

ENTIRE.FREAKING.DAY.

I've had about enough.

I feel sick. My head hurts. Food sounds gross. Nothing but sleep sounds good. I'm cranky. Emotional. Irritable.

I really thought I'd be this cute happy pregnant girl. Yeah. I'm not.

Well I might be cute, but I haven't been happy.

Everyone keeps telling me it is going to get better. They best not be lying to me.

Ok, so that's the vent for the day. It's been a bad day b/w not feeling well and work and blah, blah, blah.

Yeah. So it looks like I'm not going to get around to that one post but I did forget to post something important! It's Sean's cousin Sonya's day of birth today!

The Steelers are SUPER BOWL champs! Booyah!

It was such a good game!!! I thought I was going to lose my voice for the next day! We were invited over to some friend's new house and of course I was the only Steelers fan out of the group! And if you've been around me when they play, you know I have a high pitch scream whenever they do something good. So I'm pretty sure the boys were sick of me but it was a good game! 6 Super bowls!!!

I also find it funny that all these Cardinal "fans" keep saying that the only reason the Steelers won was b/c of the refs. Bologna. The losers always have to come up with some sort of reason why they lost. I also found it funny how these supposed Cardinal fans say things like that whenever they aren't even true fans. I'm a true Steelers fan. If we would have lost, I wouldn't have blamed it on the refs or anyone but the Steelers for that matter. People need to buck up!

But for the rest of the Steeler fans.... Hell yeah!!! Can't wait for next year!

Ok, so I think I'm up-to-date now. I'll work on the "big" post later...sometime. maybe.

Baby News...

I'm officially 12 weeks today which heads me into my 4th month! 3 months down. Now if only I'd start feeling better. For those that care (or those that don't), I had my 1st puking experience.
Not. Cool.
We had just gotten back from Topeka and I saw some leftover food in the sink (a slice of tomato) and it smelled bad and that's all it took.
Gross.
Then the same thing happened last night except this time it was a smell in the fridge. Sean didn't smell anything but my hound nose sure did.
Yuck.

Anyways, here's baby Jay's 12 week stats.



As you move into the second trimester, baby shifts into the growth and maturation stage. After weeks in the critical development stage, almost all of baby's systems are fully formed.

We are under 200 days!!!

I even have a belly pic to post but the picture is on another computer. I'm going to try and do a post later tonight on our Topeka/Valentine's Day/1st KU Basketball game.
So put on your big girl/big boy panties and get ready.

My 100th Post!

Whhooooiiieeee! 100 posts! Yeah. I know. It's not really that exciting.

But this is...

We are headed to Lawrence in just a few minutes to attend my 1st KU Basketball game! I'm super excited! We are going to Mass St. for some shopping then headed to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch then headed to the game. After that we are going to do some shopping, go to dinner at Olive Garden (I'm already way excited for that) and then hang out some more! We are staying at the Hyatt Place (no visitors please :) ) for the night then tomorrow it's off to cheer for the Steelers as they win the Super Bowl!!! WWWhhhhhooooooiiiiieeeeee!!!

Our Baby is a lime! :) Man, I wish I could have a margarita to go with the lime... in due time! But it does sound oh so good! Your fetus currently enjoys a 1:1 ratio between body and head, and has skin so transparent that blood vessels show right through. But, fingers and toes are no longer webbed, and hair follicles, tooth buds and nail beds are forming -- setting up a significantly more attractive future.

Nothing new tonight. I worked way to many hours today so I'm off to bed!

Oh, and I guess my husband is trying to make it up to me for calling me ugly. See post below in case ya missed it. He got us tickets to the KU game this weekend. So we are making the weekend out of it and celebrating our "Valentine's day" a bit early! We are going to stay they night in a hotel and go to Olive Garden. Fettuccine here I come!!! Oh, I'm sure we'll shop a bit for Baby Jay as well! This kid is going to have so much KU stuff!!

Baby Jay

Baby jay is doing great! We got to hear the heartbeat again, a strong 156! Just like the last visit! It took her a little bit to find it so of course I was freaking out a bit, but eventually we got it! Doctor said everything was looking good and my beautiful uterus was measuring right on schedule. I asked him about traveling since I travel for work and he said not to travel over 30 weeks! I'm not gonna lie. I'm pretty pumped about not going on satellites. Sorry Tara. But don't worry. I still have 20 weeks to go until then! I can however still travel to GB for my bestie's wedding in August. He said an hour is max.

My head still hurts... bad. The doc thought that it would subside by 12 weeks which will be technically next Tuesday. Say a prayer... please! These are not any fun at all!

Oh, remember how I praised my hubby on my last post or two?

Well I take it back.

My oh-so-sweet-and-smart husband messed up tonight. When he got home from work I was sleeping on the couch (just a cat nap) and I asked him if I could get a new head since mine was hurting. This was his reply.

"You can put Jessica Alba's head on your body, but just not anything uglier than you are now."

Nice huh?

I just finished watching the "Very Duggar Wedding" and WOW. I *can't* believe that Joshua and Anna NEVER kissed prior to getting married.

Power to em' but there is no way Sean and I could have done that. Nor would we have wanted to either.

Still... it blows my mind.

As you can tell this really is a pointless post. I don't have much to post tonight. Tomorrow is our appointment with the doctor and we are looking forward to hearing the heartbeat again! Pray everything goes well!

Oh, something cute. Sean told me tonight that he is writing a little journal for Baby Jay to read whenever they are 18. He's going to write during the pregnancy and the 1st year. Oh how I love him!

Energy

This is something I have lacked for the past 6 weeks. I'm very lucky and blessed to have a husband that has kept up with the laundry, clean the dishes, pick up around the house, etc. I'm more than ready for my energy to be back. I have so many artsy projects I want to be doing and I can hardly get off the couch. I have about 3 weeks until I'm out of the 1st trimester and I'm really hoping what everyone is saying is true. Many a people of told me that I won't feel sick, will get my energy back, yadda yadda yadda. They also said I wouldn't sleep as much and well, I'm pretty sure I'm still going to sleep every chance I get! I love sleep. Shot me.

And yes, everyone has also told me to sleep now b/c I won't get it when the baby is here. I'm not even going to express my feelings on that one.

I also have found something people say about pregnant people to be VERY annoying. I've been called PREGO and CAN NOT stand it. Prego is spaghetti sauce. Last I checked, I am not spaghetti sauce. Call me pregnant, with child, expecting. But please, not prego (or fat).

Guess what I did today. I'll give you 2 choices.

Bet you'll never guess the right answer! :) I did manage to take a 3 hour nap after only being up for 4 hours. Then I woke up and felt like I had to have IHOP. Why IHOP? No clue. I don't even like breakfast food but hash browns sounds good. Sean suggested Gutchs and I then decided I HAD to have Bompa and Hummus. Other than that, the food sucked. I ordered fettuccine and it tasted weird. I'd pay someone to bring me Olive Garden's fettuccine. Now that my friend is heaven on a plate.

Well I know this sounds crazy but I think I'm headed back to bed. This whole headache everyday is going to drive me nuts.
